well that isn't vandalism it is true things i am super smart. one of the smartest person is the world. HAHAHA. JK. LOL and sorry about that
Comparison of Battlestar Galactica series article.
Comparison of Battlestar Galactica (1978) and Battlestar Galactica (2003)
I made several changes to the article because two articles were merged and the format had been made clumsy. The bot removed the changes, and I made some more of them without realizing it. Could this be repaired?
change of page "brown alga"
I tried to move the complete entry of "brown alga" to "brown algae", since alga is just the singular of algae. Please help me to do this, since it helps to all people who have never been sitting in a lecture of latin. Cheers! Thomi (horath_AT_botinst.unizh.ch)
Julian Casablancas article
I think the changes I started making to the Julian Casablancas article were accurate. I found all the information in reputable sources, and was planning to properly cite the articles that I quoted. The information on the page right now is incomplete, and I believe much of it is speculation, not fact.
Bot
Bot is good. One day maybe you could have many of them performing this function. That would be good. Then I could program them to kill millions in my name. tjww
Type 2 (T3)
I read up more on the subject and realized my edit was unnecessary. Please remove any edit if it is still there. I tried to erase it but don't know if it worked.
Mistaken revert
I don't know if there's a way to fix what led to this edit being reverted without making it miss real vandalism, but I thought I'd let you know just in case. It clearly thought that I was trying to blank the article due to my mass deletion of content (if what that "article" has can be called "content"... In case it gets speedily deleted before you see this, it was nothing more than the name of the article repeated over and over and over again. I left a few lines of it as example for why it should be speedily deleted, but removed most of it while I was adding the speedy deletion template).
Also: for the message left on talk pages, you might want to make it so it adds a ==Headline== of some kind before its comment, for those of us who like to keep our talk pages nicely organized. --Icarus 19:17, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
List of computer and video game companies
I tried adding our company to the "List of computer and video game companies" page and it flagged it. The trademarked name is "GOPODULAR!" (www.gopodular.com) so that's probably why. I bet it thought it was some nut screaming about something. Is there a way to have it added?

Not vadalism
I also was reverted for something that I don't believe is vandalism. If it was can someone explain to me why. What I did was insert a 2 line blurb on the christian prespective of mohammed in the section titled == mohammad in other religions == was that incorrect?
Seems to me there should be a hindu / buddest prespective as well but I did not have time to research that.
--chistofishman 18:22, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- Replied on the user talk page. Appears that the bot reverted vandalism *after* the user's edits, back to the user's version, rather than the bot actually having reverted the above user. - TexasAndroid 19:56, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Better warning message?
Could the warning message be modified to start a new section with == delimiters? I think that would make it easier to read the resulting user talk pages. -- RoySmith (talk) 22:21, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

What are u talkin aboot
I ain't be changing no articles on Misplaced Pages. Must be the User Dementedcat. He hijacked my account cause he stole my pasword. Says he wants to send you guys pointless stuff since your site is pointless. I feel the complete opposite. Sorry for his misrtake.
Bot mistake
Your bot recently dumped a whole page I was editing under the "Australian Immigration" heading. I'm not pissed off because I've fixed it now, but you said you wanted feedback so here it is.

Okay, I added that he was gay because he is. Just rent it or something. He just seems like he is gay. I did not mean to vandalize tha article. --anonymous user
King Rising levitation
Hi. The Twakerbot deleted a change I made to the King Levitation document and I would like that to be changed back. Corey King and the Ellusionist team have spent a lot of time on that specific effect and do not want it to be spread around on the internet like it is on wikipedia. They are currently selling this effect and they do not want their buissiness to drop because of this. my user talk number is 67.185.147.231. Please change this so it does not spoil this effect. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.185.147.231 (talk • contribs)

I entered a valid name for "cigarettes" and it becamem reverted. I think it happened because the name of cigarettes in Ireland are called "Fags" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.37.228.47 (talk • contribs)
Change to entry
There is alot of fighting going on about just what said entry should say. people are constantly changing it, putting inappropriate commentary and hate speach on it.
I changed it to "Mostly Harmless" both to make them realize what they are doing is dumb, and because it does not sound like an attack on either side.
If you would, could you please change it back to what I posted? thank you. - — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.95.98.50 (talk • contribs)
Vandalism (Snooker )
Dear Friend,
Can I suggest that the following IP address be blocked permanently: 125.236.44.45
as repeated warnings to that user's talk page have had no effect? I saw your recent message there about vandalism to the article "snooker", to which I contribute regularly.
Even if it is a shared terminal somewhere, whoever regulates it has a duty of care to Misplaced Pages that is not being met.

Edit profanity?
Someone edited out profanity in the song lyrics for the following page: http://en.wikipedia.org/Feel_Good_Inc. I restored the original profanity and corrected improper use of apostrophes/commas, but this bot removed them. Can this be fixed? I didn't know Misplaced Pages had a "no profanity" policy - does it? If so, then I won't have much to do with Misplaced Pages any more.
to nicole richie from Leighann Heier
I promise to only write good things I truly think I belive Nicole Richie could be like or very close too the next Pamala Anderson because if you look at some of their photos they really look alot alike and I think that is a very huge compliment for Nicole I really belive she could be transformed in pams twin sister.well that's just my opinunion good enough LUV ya Richie your fan leghiann.
A change I made to the Ogre Kingdom page got reverted.
I changed the entry for Ogre Maneaters on the Ogre Kingdoms page, http://en.wikipedia.org/Ogre_%28Warhammer%29#Maneaters, basically I felt that the origional entry for them was misleading, I felt as if the statement about their Bull Charge rule made if appear that only the maneaters got that rule, so I removed it and added text about Golfag Maneater, a famous ogre maneater.
I'm pretty sure I wasn't making Wiki actively worse, I was only removing innacurate information, so I dont see why Tawkerbot re-edited me.

Palm Desert map is incorrect
I attempted to remove the map currently posted to represent the location of Palm Desert (http://en.wikipedia.org/Palm_Desert%2C_California), as it is significantly off its mark (by over 60 miles). The dot on the map is a very close match to the location of Rubidoux, CA. I do not possess the software to fix this map myself, but attempted to remove the inaccurate material.

Need Help on Ban
72.140.166.161 which Tawkerbot2 found vandelizing the page on Islam has continued vandalism of pages on Nazi ideals, Christianity, and Lucifer. Would like to report this as I have no idea who can report this activity and request a ban of his IP

- Check out the instructions on Misplaced Pages:Vandalism - I'm not an admin, but getting the sequence of warnings in place is something everyone can do. After that, it's a matter of calling the admins' attention. (I'm not one.) --Alvestrand 07:21, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Might be a good idea not to get too excited?
The bot started leaving vandalism warnings on my talk page after an accidental blanking. It was some kind of error in the editor I was using, but I got the warnings whilst trying to fix things. I understand the robot is supposed to be doing something useful, and it's certainly fast, but it's a little annoying. Perhaps this robot should inform a human before slapping warnings onto talk pages. Thanks.--Dogaroon 06:02, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't get a response from you; I notice there were some other errors by this robot (like the one on the dog page). I'm going to remove the vandalism warning from my talk page, since it is obviously an error. Better to be safe than sorry. --Dogaroon 01:01, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism
I have never edited a Misplaced Pages entry. I don't even know how to edit a wikipedia entry. I do not have an account to edit Misplaced Pages. Making the bot smarter
I created Disaster monitoring constellation. I then realised that this should be Disaster Monitoring Constellation, so created that and tried to delete the previous page to put a redirect in -- at which point the bot stepped in to revert.
I'm the creator and only editor of the page, and I'm logged in. Deleting my own work is not vandalism.
The bot should not treated deletions of own creations by logged-in users without anyone else editing as vandalism.
Lloyd Wood 18:33, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- I've redirected it; the bot shouldn't step in, as it usually doesn't revert established accounts. Must be a bug. Master of Puppets 18:36, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know that the bot makes that distinction, anon vs. account. I know that we get false positives in here from registered users. The bot avoids admins, and has an explicit White List of users to ignore, but I'm pretty sure it watches edits from most users just like it watches anons. - TexasAndroid 18:43, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- User did not know how to do a redirect, but tried anyway and got reverted by the bot. Have responded on the user's page. - TexasAndroid 18:41, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
The bot ignores:
- Admins
- Whitelisted users
Anyone else gets checked, as the bot has no way of knowing an account age other than keeping a local database dump and I don't have that kind of hard drive space :o -- Tawker 22:21, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

All I did is corrct mistakes, I don't see why I would get a warning for that!
Tracking anonymous vandalism
I was wondering whether Tawkerbot2 has the facility to log the IP addresses of anonymous vandalism it reverts? If so, can it also keep track of anons who vandalise more than once, and report them to users/admins for warnings/blocking? If this feature is not already present, perhaps it could make a useful addition? Just a thought! Mushin 21:24, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yep, it reports repeat vandals to WP:AIV/TB2, it does log every edit it makes so I can pull a user summary of bot reverts, its just all in a backend -- Tawker 22:18, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Good stuff! Keep up the good work. Mushin 00:01, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Regarding Dog
The bot has reverted a edit that I did in order to remove vandalism here, but Tawkerbot2 reinstated the vandal's edit here and warned me. I feel upset that this has happened. Let me know what you think. -- Masterjamie 23:59, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Sir Thomas Browne on America
Following upon the suggestion of another i moved this page to join rest of Sir T.B. page in order to eliminate an orphaned page. Hope this explains my apparent vandalism, nothing of the sort merely trying to tidy up contributions. Okay?Norwikian 06:42, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
about article changes.
I wrote 2 articles: "Multiterminal with Xephyr" and "Multiterminal with Xnest" Someone (probably a bot) asked to move the article to wikibooks, so I manually did it with both articles Wikibooks:Multiterminal with Xephyr Wikibooks:Multiterminal with Xnest
So I changed their Misplaced Pages pages, deleted everything and said "moved this article to wikibooks". And your bot undid the changes.
So, please, go there and delete those articles =)
Thanks =)
- Ok all appears to be fixed, in the future if you need something deleted can you slap a db tag on it, that puts it in the speedy delete request que and won't trigger the bot :) -- Tawker 16:28, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
East Is East
Hello,
This bot automatically reverted my change to the article about East Is East (film). I'm assuming it's becuase my change contained the word 'fuck' but i can assure you that this was not vandalism, it is a quote from the film. 88.110.52.185 14:13, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Stu Klitenic
The article on Stu klitenic is not encyclopedic at all. It is just one long anti-stu klitenic rant. I deleted the whole article and wrote a short stub, trying to get a legitimate article started. The bot reverted it back, because it must have thought deleting all the text in an article is vandalism. In this case, however, it is not vandalism, so please allow the text of the Stu Klitenic article to be deleted so a new it can be rewritten as a real article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.32.200.24 (talk • contribs) 20:53, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

"One In A Million"
I changed the page for the Guns N' Roses song "One In A Million" from "spread some expletive disease" to "spread some fucking disease"; I thought wikipedia didn't use euphemisms of that sort. Perhaps I was wrong. It was, however, a legitimate edit attempt.
Explicit song lyrics
Like as above, the bot reverted another user's edit to 300 Bars and Runnin' replacing "****" with expletives in song lyrics. In this case, I later removed the lyrics from the page because they were copyrighted. 24.226.62.205 03:28, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Can TB2 identify edits which are purely page blankings (i.e, absolutely nothing replaced the old content), and use the {{blank}} template for this sort of page blanking? There are lots of cases of vanity additions to the Births section (eg . A guideline is in place that only people with Misplaced Pages articles should have their dates of birth listed (the policing on new articles then covers things). Request for change: diff-link in automated talk-page entries
Hi Tawker/Tawkerbot(2). I noticed that the summary generated does not contain a diff-link. However there are typically two links to the main page of the changed/reverted page. One in the headline and one in the first sentence. I think to exchange one of those for a diff-link would be a good idea. It would save recent change patrollers a few clicks. Also this would allow the anonymous user insight into what happened as they might be unfamiliar with Misplaced Pages. Here's an idea of how this might look like (taken from this example):
- What it looks like now:
==Your edit to ]==
Your recent edit to ] ...
Your recent edit to Malcolm Glazer ...
- What it might look like with a added diff-link:

odd false positive on Grunge music
Sumpin weird happened back on May 20; I only just noticed it. Some clown vandalized the article at 18:43 ; Tawkerbot noticed and reverted it that same minute . The clown came back at 18:56 , but this time User:Jklin was quick to the draw and beat Tawkerbot to the reversion at 18:57 , whereupon Tawkerbot promptly reverted Jklin, restoring the vandalism !! Fortunately User:LGagnon noticed and reverted it properly within the same minute . Was this a race condition? Thelema template and vomit up more Crowley-spam to fill the page. I am not going to countenance my ORIGINAL RESEARCH (their claim) to sully WP any longer -- or allow WP to waste my time any longer. Catherineyronwode 23:22, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Malfunction on Comparison of open source operating systems
65.94.59.238 (Talk) was trying to make a legitimate edit to the tables on Comparison of open source operating systems (history). Tawkerbot2 kept reverting this change by 65.94.59.238, until finally Balihb (the original creator and main contributor to the article) made the edit him/herself, which Tawkerbot2 did not revert. Anyways, please don't take the previous criticisms on this talk page by 65.94.59.238 too seriously, I'm sure he/she was just upset and unfamiliar with Wikipedian social policies. I also believe the block against 65.94.59.238 should be lifted, if it hasn't already, with a note to assume good faith. Armedblowfish 00:01, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
continuation of this conversation copied from my talk page, but you can delete if it's clogging up space Armedblowfish 00:35, 29 May 2006 (UTC):
- From what I could tell it was the penis vandal that was making those posts hence the range block and the sprotects not exactly the user in question, if I'm wrong please let me know -- Tawker 00:20, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- Though it's hard to tell, given that the person seems to have a very dynamic IP address, all of the edits made by 65.94.59.238 up to the point where he/she became upset at you/your bot seem to have been good faith, legitimate edits. Don't get me wrong - I don't support the way he/she handled his/her frustration (not assuming good faith), but it doesn't look like the Misplaced Pages:Long term abuse/The Autofellatio Redirect Vandal to me, and it is my personal belief that he/she should be unblocked. I'm not sure if you want this conversation on my talk page or yours, so I'll try both I guess. Armedblowfish 00:33, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- Note to 65.94.59.238/65.94.101.206/the other IPs you've been using: Please try to calm down, and assume good faith. Personal attacks will not resolve the situation. While Tawkerbot2 made a mistake in reverting your edits on Comparison of open source operating systems, Tawkerbot2 is generally very useful, and about 98% accurate, and all AIs have limitations. Perhaps you could try explaining the situation, instead of getting angry? Armedblowfish 01:23, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- Or Tawker could supervise the bot instead of leaving it free to make such mistakes. 65.94.101.206 01:37, 29 May 2006 (UTC) -- the preceding edit was modified by Armedblowfish to make it a bit more polite
- Such mistakes are not irreversible. For instance, you could leave a message on Tawkerbot2's talk page explaining the mistake. Then, Tawker could either remove the vandalism warnings from your talk page, or issue a formal apology on your talk page explaining that it was a mistake. (And maybe block Tawkerbot2 from editing Comparison of open source operating systems until whatever cause the malfunction is fixed, if Tawkerbot2's code allows that.) However, personal attacks are reason to block in and of themselves. Please try to calm down. Armedblowfish 01:53, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Are you mad? I will take legal action against Misplaced Pages if I am told I am a vandil one more time. You have been warned.
