Mike Emerick

Hi, noticed your reversal of my edits to the Mike Emrick page. Just wanted to say, if you'd look at my edits compared to the ones before, I've actually reduced irrelevant information. 50.101.142.2 (talk) 03:22, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

Trout!

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

Hi there! I see that you have closed Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Cyril Mathew as withdrawn, but you forgot to remove the AfD template from the actual article! ;-) Cheers, Michaelzeng7 (talk) 22:22, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

optic disc

I mentioned some reasons why we can't notice blind spot in normal. There is no such thing in that article explaining that.Is it that i didn't make up it in a nice way? With a clear heading and underlining?something like that sailor?

Hi HMSSolent Am very new to all this and any constructive criticism would be welcome. Am wondering what your definition of not constructive is? Am merely trying to add an alternative satellite internet provider in Italy - all normally dominated by telecom Italia - and they're rubbish!!! (Now that would be an unhelpful comment to put on!) How else might I do it do you think? Looking forward to your comments Catwomantiff — Preceding unsigned comment added by Catwomantiff (talkcontribs) 09:11, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

(edit conflict) Ermmm....it was actually the other part of your edit, the one that says "Bold text" - typically, test edits fall under the vandalism classification in STiki. But you're welcome to restore the link to the Internet provider through. hmssolent\ ship's log 09:14, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

AfC

Your good patrolling of submitted afcs is appreciated -- and I want to make sure you realize a useful shortcut:

When there's an extremely promotional article submitted, that looks like it would have to be started over entirely, the simplest thing to do is just to nominate it for speedy deletion G11, preferably using Twinkle. The sooner we get these out of our system the better, and there's no need to go through the overhead of declining it in AfC. For example (& I'm not going to delete it for a day or two, so you can see it):

You might want to check if there are others. ~

Just tagged that one. Quite right you are; that submission is purely promotional. hmssolent\ ship's log 08:08, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

Unreview

Hi HMSSolent, I'm not sure I understand the unreview notice you left on my talk page. What was the problem with that page? Cheers, Jafeluv (talk) 06:58, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

I can't really see the purpose of having user pages of socks/banned users being marked as reviewed when it, in itself is not an article. hmssolent\ ship's log 09:17, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
I don't remember marking it as reviewed... The page was probably autoreviewed on creation . However, what's the benefit of unreviewing such pages? According to the guideline autoreviewed edits aren't unaccepted even if they are vandalism (which of course this wasn't). Jafeluv (talk) 09:31, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi, from which country are you? I request you not to make changes in mqm page. they are terroists and you are helping them hiding this fact — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.88.41.128 (talk) 01:07, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

That's irrelevant. If no other countries have declared it as a terrorist organisation, then it cannot be considered as such. hmssolent\ ship's log 01:11, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

hello - i noticed you removed correction i made to 'steve laffey' wiki page for lack of explanation.

how is it i do this as i'm new. i need to stay anonymous but i know the changes i made to be factual one (if you check the old steve laffey post if referes to senior salesmen forcing him out in a boardroom coup).

the removal was of fluff not pertnant to his business career at morgan keegan.

Fagor: 24 May 2013

Thank you very much for your comment. But I don't know what you mean when you say "your recent addition appears to be extremely promotional". I haven't added any new information, just deleted vandalization. It's not mine the original text (but I hope to inprove it with accurate non-promotional data). Thanks again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ikerm (talkcontribs) 07:09, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

What I meant by "extremely promotional" was this:

"FAGOR provides over 50 years of tradition in producing household appliances Incorporated in 1956, the aged 55 years FAGOR Group has now present in millions of homes across the globe and marked as a market leader in the Spanish and French markets. This made us the fifth largest manufacturer worldwide. Over the years in and out, we are proud of the milestones that our company has achieved. Thanks to the five entrepreneurial students for the kick-start!

FAGOR Group's annual production volume exceeds 8 million electrical appliances with its 8 manufacturing plants in Spain, France, Italy, Morocco and China. It is an employment opportunity for more than 9,000 people. The group branches into 19 countries worldwide and exports its products to more than 130 regions on all continents. Following its purchase of the Brandt Group, FAGOR Electrical Appliances is Europe’s fifth largest manufacturer of electrical appliances.

FAGOR has broad ranges of brands catering to the entire segments of population – a total of 11 distinct brands. The variations serve the goal of accommodating the consumers' demands and requirements because we are highly committed to their needs. Do allow us to introduce you our heritage in home appliances with a whole new perspective and dimension.

The Dan Warthen page

Eh, as a Mets fan I am frustrated with him destroying young arms, on top of thinking he's responsible for Santana's demise. Dude's hung on for way too long in the majors. I'm not even a fan of editing wiki pages like that, but damn the fact that guy still has a job anywhere is frustrating!

Zeitgeist Movement page

I changed my edits back. The article is more concise and accurate to what the movement truly is. Especially since the final edit I made was to a sentence fragment that made no sense. The edit in the first paragraph is due to the fact that if Peter Joseph started the movement intentionally he wouldn't have made the first film as conspiratorial as it was, due to perceived backlash. This should be obvious because he keeps having to reiterate constantly that the first film has nothing to do with the movement.Drabglum (talk) 12:05, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

I reverted you back to this talk page users edit and my previous edit also. That is what is called Original Research, your opinion about the motivations of Peter Joseph. Also you made up another meaning for Zeitgeist that does not relate to the translation of 'spirit of the times'. Again your opinions about the group which sound a lot like how the group tries to present itself, is not what is needed in the article. Also the premise of the Movement is well documented, how it started and the beginning etc. Joseph is the leader also more or less. Saying he did it unintentionally? sounds off the mark also and is not cited from any source but your opinion of him or the group, so please stop trying that edit or at the very least get a discussion going on the talk page about your opinions first. Earl King Jr. (talk) 13:54, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
Please understand that all I did was accidentally reverting an edit that was obviously constructive - I was not involved in any discussions relating to the page where you made the edit, nor did I give any personal opinions with regards to the subject. hmssolent\ ship's log 00:41, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
Sorry I am not following what you are saying at all hmssolent. I came to your talk page to back up the edit you made. I will retreat now and just say sorry if there was a misunderstanding. Earl King Jr. (talk) 01:24, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
Do you think if he intentionally wanted to start a movement that could be taken seriously he would make the first film so conspiratorial? I'm going to allow the meaning of zeitgeist to change. But besides that the article is more accurate with the changes I made. Peter Joseph is not the leader he is the most vocal proponent. That is all. It would be fallacy to call him a leader when the movement is based on abolishing that kind of hierarchy. He doesn't lead anyone, go look at the TZMnetwork website yourself. He Isn't even on there. To be a leader he would have to actually be directing the activism, but he Isn't. The people who comprise the Zeitgeist Movement decide themselves what they are going to do activism wise. He actually doesn't really direct anybody, the moderators on the site won't even remove your comments if you have derogatory things to say about him, or anyone else vocal I the movement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drabglum (talkcontribs) 08:05, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
Could you bring all that to the talk page so that others can view your take on that? I have to say again that it is original research on your part. Earl King Jr. (talk) 09:59, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

because it was an urban legend not fact — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.55.151.197 (talk) 02:20, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

(edit conflict) It has widespread coverage, and is referenced in two significant sources. The fact that it is an "urban legend" does not sufficiently explain the removal. If you have any sources stating anything otherwise than that mentioned on the sources included, please post them here. hmssolent\ ship's log 02:24, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
