Dear FloNight, you don't know me but I still want to welcome you back. I want you to know that as part of the 'minions', I believe most if not all of us are behind you and SlimVirgin all the way. I personally believe that ''any'' harassment of an editor, whether on or off wiki, is absolutely unacceptable and should be dealt with harshly, with a lifetime ban after one warning. I also think that the victims of harassment must be consulted before, and must approve, any 'rehabilitation' of a harasser. Thanks for the work you have done and I hope you will keep contributing knowing you have all our support. Please relay the same message to SV if you can. Thanks, ] 16:15, 30 May 2006 (UTC) |

Blu Aardvark and Mistress Selina Kyle unblock
I’m totally flabbergasted by the unblock of Blu Aardvark and Mistress Selina Kyle. Amazed by the disrespect shown to myself and the other targets of Misplaced Pages Review. By not having the decency to discuss the unblock with us before doing it, you have shaken my faith in the Misplaced Pages community. It’s one thing to put up with scary harassment when you are doing it for a community of people that share your mission. Now I don't know what to think!
Please stay
We can't afford to lose another good admin over these clowns. Everyone of us who leaves is a victory for them. Don't make it easy for them. FeloniousMonk 04:46, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- I have to agree with FeloniousMonk; just because trolls may sometimes win doesn't mean there is no hope in life. For every bad person on Misplaced Pages there are dozens of good souls. So please, don't let the loss of one battle determine how the war ends. Master of Puppets 04:50, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I am going to second the two statements above. You have been a wonderful help and comforting voice of reason in times of distress. Just keep on keeping on - as the old saying goes - tomorrow is another day. Oh, and thanks for the reply on my page - looking forward to our collaboration. --Northmeister 05:51, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I would like to reassure you that I, and I believe a majority of the ArbCom if not in fact all of us, do NOT welcome MSK or BluAardvark back to Misplaced Pages; in fact, quite the reverse. I believe those who do are a tiny percentage of Misplaced Pages's admins, let alone the organisation itself inasmuch as such exists. Matthew Brown (Morven) (T:C) 06:02, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
An Observation
I'm a newbie at WP and my observations ought be regarded as such. That said, having read the discussion in question as I had had some help from SlimVirgin, I'd like simply to offer the following, perhaps obvious, thoughts: I feel that the events in question are suggestive of profound limitations in WP processes which, if it is to thrive as an institution, ought be addressed. If they are not effectively addressed they will likely ultimately compromise if not destroy WP's stated goals. I am sympathetic to and supportive of your position. Fucyfre 02:20, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your support and FYI
I wrote the comments on my user and talk page after I read these three comments. I was hurt, frustrated, and extremely pissed off.
This statement explains the way I felt at the time. “I’m not a fool. I’m not going to volunteer for an organization that welcomes people that are harassing me for protecting the organization”. FloNight talk 04:42, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
After reading the supportive comments, I feel better about the situation. Tonight/today Linuxbeak seems more willing to talk about the situation. I feel sure that we can work through the problem if we all assume good faith and agree to work toward a compromise. Regards, --FloNight 02:35, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
