Long Island Jewish Medical Center (LIJMC) shares the title of clinical and academic hub of the North Shore-LIJ Health System. It is an 827-bed voluntary, non-profit tertiary care teaching hospital serving the greater New York metropolitan area. The 48-acre (190,000 m) campus is 15 miles (24 km) east of Manhattan, on the border of Queens and Nassau Counties, in Glen Oaks, Queens and Lake Success, New York. Its postal address is New Hyde Park (11040 and 11042) on both sides of the city limits.
