Chris Alexander is a Toronto based film critic and composer, known primarily for his knowledge of horror and dark fantsy film history. He's the Editor-in-chief of the long running horror film periodical Fangoria. Member of the Toronto Film Critics Association.

Writing

Current Editor-in-Chief of Fangoria magazine, succeeding former editor Tony Timpone in February 2010

Prior to that he served as popular "Schizoid Cinephile" columnist and critic in Canadian horror culture magazine Rue Morgue.

First book was published in January 2010. Called "Chris Alexander's Blood Spattered Book" from Midnight Marquee, a second book called "The Twilight Zone Legacy" was announced to be published via Bear Manor Media in early 2014.

Writes for the free Canadian newspaper METRO.

Editor-in-chief of KISS: MONSTER - The Official Album and Tour Magazine #1-2. Licensed by KISS and written by Alexander, Kelly Michael Stewart and Justin Beahm.

Radio

Was a radio personality in the past as he served as film critic on radio station AM 640 Toronto's The John Oakley Show from 2004 - 2009 and the Caustic Critics segment with fellow personality Stuart Andrews on Rue Morgue Radio program (2004-2007).

Music and Film

Formerly behind Toronto cult bands Walls of Jericho and Inseminoid. Released several solo albums on Meridian Music label. Composed music for several short and feature horror films. Experimental album Music For Parasites released in 2008.

Composer for horror radio drama series Fangoria's Dreadtime Stories with host Malcolm McDowell

Wrote, directed, edited and composed the score for the independent horror film Blood for Irina via Autonomy Pictures.

Composed score for Canadian horror thriller Devils Mile.

Raging Boll

Only Canadian critic chosen to fight notorious genre filmmaker Uwe Boll during Raging Boll stunt in Vancouver 2006. Maintains friendly relationship with Boll to this day.
