Shabbat
Hi, thanks for cleaning up the stuff I changed on the Shabbat page. Your formatting decisions make a lot of sense. I don't understand, though, why you removed what I wrote about Kavod Shabbat and the nature of the three meals. Also, I don't know of any poskim who maintain that meat is necessary for shabbat in the same way it is for yom tov. I'm not just going to undo it because that would be a stupid edit war, but I really would like to know what's wrong with it. I think it's relevant information and it would be a little silly to make new pages for kavod shabbos and shalosh seudot. Thanks, Avraham 19:33, 31 March 2006 (UTC) PS Just curious. You frum? you don't have to answer if you don't want to.
When I mentioned a shalosh seudot article, I meant it as in shalosh seudot/seada shlishit. I didn't realize there *was* such an article. Now that there is, I totally understand why you removed the information. I'll check out the seuda shlishi article later. Have a sweet shabbat! Avraham
Hey, Shavua Tov. Can Seudah Shelishit be moved to Seudah Shlishit (without the e, since it's not normally pronounced)? I want to add some pages to link there (e.g. Shalosh Seudot, Seuda Shlishit) and edit the content but I want to see if it's name is permanent first. Avraham 05:03, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Sounds reasonable. I know I can't move pages (new user) can you or do you need to be an admin or bureaucrat or something?
Beis Hillel
As you suggested on Talk:Beis Hillel, I've added an entry for Beit Hillel to Misplaced Pages:Requested articles/Culture and fine arts. howcheng {chat} 06:57, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Meshichism
Hmm. It's hard to tell whether this is a sockpuppet effort. But the link can be deleted as "yet another" meshichist pamphlet. JFW | T@lk 21:53, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

Jesus
Hi Dland. A new editor is making rather bold claims about Judaism's view of Jesus, and also insisting he knows Jesus' Hebrew name. Could you possibly take a look at Talk:Jesus#Hebrew_name_of_Yehoshua_or_Yeshua and Talk:Judaism's view of Jesus? I'd appreciate it. Jayjg 18:22, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

Shulchan Aruch
Thanks for your message. I will support a move to Shulchan Aruch. Based on Google, that is the most popular spelling (146,000 hits), compared to Shulkhan Arukh (17,800, Misplaced Pages top search result) and Shulhan Arukh (23,500). JFW | T@lk 03:04, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Yaakov Meidan
Thanks for your comment. The thing is that, according to google, "Yaaqov Medan" is by far the least common spelling. (sigh) I wish that there was a for naming conventions. I had a similar problem with Rav Akiva Eger. Ayinyud 19:47, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Chometz
Hi again. My account is too new to move articles. Can you please move chometz to chametz? I know chametz is blue linked but it's only a redirect to chometz. A google search gives about 73000 for chometz and 250000 for chametz. Yes, I know there is a requested moves page but I can't figure out how to use it. It's way more confusing than most of the other help pages. Thanks a lot. Avraham 20:02, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
OK, great. thanks. I'm sure as I get used to the Misplaced Pages lingo the instructions will be more clear. Avraham 20:47, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Chametz
Done. Jayjg 21:12, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I noticed that it hadn't been moved as of this afternoon but now it is. Thanks, I'll get in touch with Jayig. Avraham 00:28, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Conducting (tempo)
About the conducting article:
"Changes to the speed of the music are indicated simply by changing the speed of the beat. To encourage a particular accelerando or rallentando, a conductor may use additional body language such as leaning forward or back, increasing eye contact, making circling motions with the hands, or introducing beat subdivisions."
"making circular motions with the hand" do not change the speed of the music. There is only three effective ways of achieving it:
- changing the tempo by a rythmic modulation; - accelerando or rallentando - beat subdivisions (a technical rallantando) Einapfel 03:02, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:PatriarchCave.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:PatriarchCave.jpg. Misplaced Pages gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Misplaced Pages, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. 02:06, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Spring1999navbar.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Spring1999navbar.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
