Christopher P. Lynch is an entrepreneur and investor based in Boston, Massachusetts.
Chris Lynch is currently a partner at Atlas Venture where he invested in sqrrl and Hadapt. He co-founded hack/reduce, a Boston-based Big Data incubator in May 2012.
Previously, Lynch served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Hewlett-Packard's Database Business Unit, a role he took after HP's acquisition of Vertica Systems in February 2011, where he was CEO.
Prior to his time at Vertica Systems, Lynch was Senior Vice President of Data Solutions at F5 Networks which acquired Acopia Networks in 2007, where he was CEO.
Lynch was Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Support for ArrowPoint Communications through its initial public offering. ArrowPoint was subsequently acquired by Cisco Systems for $5.7 billion in 2000, where Lynch then served as Vice President of Worldwide Content Delivery.
In his earlier career, Chris Lynch held leadership roles at Lucent, which acquired Prominent where he was Vice President of sales; as well as positions at Bay Networks, Wellfleet Communications, and Digital Equipment Corporation.
Lynch earned his MBA from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University in 1991 and his bachelor’s degree in business management from Suffolk University in 1986. In 2011, Mr. Lynch received an honorary doctor of commercial science degree from Bentley University and had the opportunity to address the graduates during the commencement ceremony.
Lynch also invested in various start-up companies, including PowerInBox and Kinvey.
