Regarding your edits to User:Megaman Zero:

Thanks for experimenting with Misplaced Pages. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks.

While forging an award is rather unethical, Megaman Zero has almost complete control of his userpage. I suppose that without Davenbelle permission to change it Megaman shouldn't keep the sig, but....
Prodego 13:14, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
I will not edit his user page again. However, he should not simply delete legitimate discussion from his talk page.
I have restored the posts he deleted, again, and have expressed agreement with your comments there. Thanks.

User:Cool Cat

I don't know much about this user, but he appears to have some problems with the Kurdistan-related articles and categories. It's somewhat understandable depending on his political background, but he doesn't seem to be good at expressing himself, which has caused some problems. Aucaman 12:40, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Batman, Turkey

Please have a read of WP:NPOV. The BBC did not hold a census regarding kurds. They made a claim without official basis. Thats why it is just a claim no matter how likely it may be true. --Cool Cat 20:36, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

"Official" sources are not the only possible sources. For example, there's the source I provided that you removed . And, of course, the claim is obviously true; SE Turkey is full of Kurds . --Moby 07:58, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Hi Moby, thanks for your comments. I removed the The Guardian article from the 'external links' section as it isn't an article on Batman, but on the Kurdish - Turkish dilemma in general, with the streetname changes in Batman as an illuminative example. As such I don't think it should remain in Batman's external links section, but rather in the section 'The Kurdish Issue in Turkey' of the article Kurds. I'll place it there right away.--Hippalus 09:23, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, makes sense to me. --Moby 09:27, 13 March 2006 (UTC) (off to check it out)

Hello Moby. Thank you for the comment. There is no doubt that Batman is a predominantly Kurdish city - of course under the condition that you accept the existance of Kurds. Even Turkey's current governemnt under the leadership of PM Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recognises the existance of Kurds. So it seems rather odd that Wiki should write its a BBC claim - in fact only the mos extreme Turkish nationalists keep denying the existance of Kurds (that they sometime label "Mountain Turks") . Bertilvidet 17:41, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

It would seem that the Turkish Nationalists here would like to redirect Kurd-->Turk. I'll keep an eye on the Batman articles and see how it goes. It seems to me that the Kurds will get a bit more of the world's attention in the future due to their part in the Iraq situation. --Moby 10:34, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Indeed, and that should not surprise us. Fortunately the political climate is changing significantly in Turkey these years, so less and less people will argue against Kurdishness. Any article dealing with some kind of Kurdishness need indeed an open eye. Bertilvidet 16:18, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for staying attentive. Bertilvidet 11:03, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Newroz

A rather bitter debate is going on about the articles Norouz and Newroz. It would be great if someone fresh to the problem would weigh in. Bertilvidet 22:15, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Here we go again....

Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Turkish Kurdistan - Bertilvidet 00:36, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Batman and wp:an/i

First of all, thank you so much for notifying me about the wp:an/i - amazing that someone can launch a complaint without informing the accused part!

I appreciate your edits at the Batman article. As you probably know the Kurdistan Category was recently nominated for deletion. Some, or at leas one, users do not respect the decision to keep the category, and deletes references to this category in lots of articles. I am not sure how to deal with that, as embarking on an edit war with this user seems rather fruitless. All the best Bertilvidet 10:46, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks!

Hey Moby, I'd really like thank you for taking the time to vote at my RfA. I withdrew due to certain controversies, but I appreciated your vote and hope to see you here in the future. Thanks again. --Khoikhoi 05:09, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey, no problem! Make sure to keep an eye on that section so it doesn't get deleted agian. Cheers! --Khoikhoi 02:33, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Kurdish Cat

Dude, please stop removing the Kurdish category from pages; this category has survived the CFD attempts and categorizing areas by ethnic population is legitimate and encyclopedic. --Moby 08:53, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Pov pushing is not welcome on wikipedia. Boudries of kurdistan is strictly confined at northern iraq. Anywhere else its highly contraverisal. What you are doing is like the tagging of Paris, France under Category:Germany. --Cool Cat 15:46, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for spreading the word on the "Which articles to tag 'Category:Kurdistan'" discussion on pages like talk:Kurdistan. Very thoughtful.--Hippalus 14:11, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
I share your fears... I'll stay around, and I'll try to keep cool.--Hippalus 14:21, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

Batman, Turkey, and Kurdish demographics

See my proposal on Talk:Batman, Turkey.--Hippalus 17:37, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome. Most of the time I enjoyed the debate, but I am very glad everyone has now cooled down a bit. I hope the constructive atmosphere will endure.--Hippalus 13:51, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

K*******n

Hi Moby. I will keep an eye on the Category talk:Kurdistan - very good idea to take the debate there, so it is not about a single dull city. Thank you so much for the comments about my photo! I will indeed be flattered if it gets nominated!! Bertilvidet 15:03, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

You can´t talk to people like him

Moby, how can you talk with a guy that hates your background don´t recognize you and most of all does everything he can do destroy you and makes you look like a fool. I mean everyone knows that east turkey is Kurdish dominiated and even turkish cities have kurdish majority. If he can´t stand the truth, and call me terrorist and babykiller. I don´t make Istanbul Kurdish because it lives over 4 million Kurds there, and in Mersin which kurds are majority in and Adana, but I want it make it right by adding the Kurdish cities with a Kurdish majority not turkish ones If I do that then I am on a wrong trace.

--OtrO DiA OtrO DiA 14:09, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Well talking to people with different views, even abhorrent views, is part of participating in a wiki. The talking may not go anywhere, but at least it shows that you tried. Always be sure to remain civil and please try to avoid baiting people. See: WP:NPA and WP:CIVIL.
Also, I don't understand your sig... --Moby 14:20, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

I will try to talk with him and let him know that I am ready to talk. By the your sig, I mean myself or someone else if the one can imagine how it is.

Thank You --OtrO DiA OtrO DiA 14:38, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Please help

Hi Moby,

Would you please be able to help me out with this? Thanks a lot. —Khoikhoi 09:10, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, please keep an eye on that page. I have to go now. —Khoikhoi 09:16, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
appeared to be vandalism, so I went with you on it. --Moby 09:18, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

Turkish Human Rights Organization

Hey, I think you removed the Turkish Human Rights thing by mistake. —Khoikhoi 07:09, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Your "friend" did that; I've just been looking over your link... --Moby 07:17, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
My friend? Check his talk page... ;) Would you be able to re-add it? —Khoikhoi 07:20, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
I meant your "friend" -- I had noted some of the interactions between you. The site you gave wants me to register and I don't have time for this step at the moment; I'll be back in awhile and will review things then. --Moby 07:31, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Hehe, lol. How could anyone not like me? ;) —Khoikhoi 07:37, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

BTW, I'd rather not get involved in the Cat:Kurdistan issue. I don't mean to let you down, but with the newest stuff about me, I'd rather not. —Khoikhoi 07:57, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

No problem; I see why... laters, --Moby 10:51, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

html table --> wiki table_wiki_table-2006-05-02T12:14:00.000Z">

OK Thanks for the table edit. Another question, why do you guys so interested in Turkey related matters? Do you have family there or some roots? Because both you and Khoikhoi are too much active in that area - sadly not in a good way off course :) --Gokhan 12:14, 2 May 2006 (UTC)_wiki_table"> _wiki_table">

Hi again, I don't see it as an interest in Turkey related matters, I see it as an interest in wiki related matters. Really, I have no family or other ties to any of the groups in the region. And I don't know much about User:Khoikhoi having only interacted much with him in the last day! As to my, and his, level of activity on articles, you are entitled to your opinions, but it's a wiki: Misplaced Pages, the 💕 that anyone can edit. --Moby 12:29, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Off course anyone can edit, I was just curious, that's all. See you around in Misplaced Pages. --Gokhan 12:34, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks my friend

I haven´t saw that , but you know accusing and attacks are a big part of peoples life when they can not face the truth or want´s some fact to be showen. I understand that. There is always someone there who don´t appreciate your work and want to destroy.. Thanks Again

Categorisation and kurdish dominance

Why are you mass taging and editing other articles when the discussion in Batman isnt remotely close to completion. Your actions are not based on concensus you know. --Cat out 14:50, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

You think I'm going to refrain from making reasonable edits simply because you're attempting to obstruct all efforts to add Kurdish content? While I have you attention, I'd like to point out that you still owe User:Francs2000 a reply to his comment that you need to change your attitude FYI, there is a significant difference between dominance and predominance. --Moby 08:37, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

User:Cool Cat's disruption of Kurdish categorization efforts

Sweet. :D In my opinion, this user should be banned, he recently left a message on my talk page about how he's proud to be an anti-Semite. Heh. —Khoikhoi 01:25, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

...and he' back at it on Nationalist Movement Party and Grey Wolves. --Moby 07:42, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm. I was thinking of making slow reverts with this guy. If he reverts, let it sit for a day or so. How does that sound? —Khoikhoi 19:04, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
I will keep an eye out for problems he causes -- and fix things slowly so as to not force 3RR problems. He seems to have found other interests since the other day. --Moby 07:09, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

A letter from the International Association of Genocide Scholars

Thanks for the letter. But I should tell you that I don't take the International Association of Genocide Scholars seriously mainly because of its leader Israel Charny who happens to have no background of research on the history of the Holocaust or Genocide. The guy has a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Rochester. An examination of the Social Sciences and some other bibliography databases reveals absolutely not a single research study under his name on the history of Holocaust or genocide in other nations, or for that matter on any other topic. So as a social science researcher Dr. Charny appears to have made no significant contribution to the research oriented academic community in his own disciplines.

His publication list shows mainly volumes that he has edited. Based on such a list, any serious academic researcher would be highly hard-pressed to accept the credentials of this fake scientist as a "genocide expert".

Dr. Charny currently presents himself as the Executive Director of the "Institute on the Holocaust and Genocide" in Jerusalem. Despite the prestigious sounding title of this institute it is nothing more than an institute founded by Dr. Charny himself. It has no official connections to any Israeli university. Hey man. As for the ref converter, I suggest you double-check that it's correct once you've done it. For the second thing you asked me about, remember what I told you, let the trolling sit for a day or two. —Khoikhoi 04:54, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

Another CfD

The compromise category, Kurdish inhabited regions, is now nominated for deletion. I'm curious to see what you think about this! Please have a look at Misplaced Pages:Categories_for_deletion/Log/2006_May_27#Category:Kurdish_inhabited_regions. All the best, Bertilvidet 08:52, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Yes, you are right, there seems to be a couple of users interested in undermining Uncle Ed compromise attempt. However, the alternative is the still existing category:Kurdistan, which I find more adequate. So I dont find it worth the efforts to fight for the compromise, if the more anti-Kurdish users are not interested in keeping this compromise. Bertilvidet 11:50, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Kurdistan

re: It is a map with a more recent date (2002 vs. 1992) and I thought it a good addition. --Moby 03:40, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Good point, but could try to find one that is less ugly? (no offense) Also, I don't see a huge difference between the two maps. —Khoikhoi 03:41, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
True, the basic data seems just about the same and, yes, the map uses a less appealing style. I actually think that the more to-the-point style is better at showing the Kurdish region. Maybe the infobox in Kurdistan is not the best place for this particular image, but I believe the fact that the CIA continues to show basically the same region as "Kurdish" bolsters the claim that this is the region that is Kurdistan. Note also the inset caption characterising it as the traditional Kurdish-inhabited area. --Moby 03:57, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
True, but as I said before, it's kinda ugly. Could you find a nicer-looking one? —Khoikhoi 04:07, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
It does kind of look like drippings from a green candle. However, it is a valid and more recent reference. I'm going to drop this whole conversation on to Talk:Kurdistan and see where it goes. --Moby 04:14, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Ok, cool. —Khoikhoi 05:10, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
