He managed East Stirling and St. Mirren, before a highly successful period as manager of Aberdeen. He is currently the manager of Manchester United F.C.. He has won more trophies than any other manager in the history of English football, and is undoubtedly the most successful manager who is still currently taking care of a club.

He is also the owner of a top international race horse, Rock of Gibraltar.
