The Canadian Federation of Students is a large union of university student groups in Canada. Only a minority of Canadian university students are part of the group, but it is well known for its activism. Currently student groups representing 450,000 students are represented. Founded in 1981 the CFS is a strongly left-wing organization that battles for more than lower tuition. For instance, the CFS led campus anti-war demonstrations to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

The CFS also manages the International Student Identification Card in Canada and owns the Travel Cuts travel agency.
