== Nominating to block Shervinsky ==

I noticed that you left a comment on ] regarding blanking. He/she has just indulged in a serious free-for-all blanking, redacting and basically dragging in vast tracts of fairly illiterate translations of RU Misplaced Pages material, and blatantly heavily biased, into the ] article, not even bothering to add edit comments regarding any of them. Even more unfortunately, they are literate enough to be comprehended and I am unable to just hit the 'undo' button due to the number of them, so I've applied for a ] in order that Shervinsy's behaviour remain on record.

Given that these 'edits' have been made over the period of only a few days, and that your warning was issued prior the series of edits of the "Name of Ukraine" article, I would suggest his/her activity is going to escalate rather than subside. Would you be willing to back me up on a request to block this user? --] (]) 02:51, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

Article DYK-nominated, please comment and support

An interesting Ukraine-related article is nominated for WP:DYK now.

Please comment and support by clicking this link.

Thank you, Ukrained2012 (talk) 10:01, 16 February 2013 (UTC)

Ukrained2012, DYK nominations aren't a support/oppose-type thing. You simply need to meet the criteria. Right now, it turns out you need to add more material to the article, since the nomination doesn't qualify under the 2x BLP expansion rule due to pre-existing references (these days, it's just about impossible to find articles around that qualify), and must meet the 5x expansion instead. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:51, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for your input, though I've never said it was "a support/oppose-type thing". Ukrained2012 (talk) 21:47, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

DYK for Mykola Melnyk

Updated DYK queryOn 24 March 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Mykola Melnyk, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Ukrainian helicopter pilot hero Mykola Melnyk made 46 sorties over the highly-radioactive Chernobyl Power Plant, and then continued firefighting flights into his fifties? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mykola Melnyk. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

The DYK project (nominate) 16:03, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Well-deserved recognition for Mr. Melnyk and tribute to all Chornobyl Heroes. I wish to thank everyone who contributed (and will keep on contributing) to the article and its DYK process. Wishes, Ukrained2012 (talk) 06:09, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

Interstate Aviation Commitee updates

Hi! I notice you said that there were updates about the Interstate Aviation Committee. And so I took a look at your edits:

Ukraine accident investigation agency

Ukrained, I heard there was a National Bureau for Air Accidents Investigations, and Sealle found some sources about it:

With what Sealle found, are you interested in starting an article on the agency? Do you know where its website is? Does it have PDF files of its investigation reports? Perhaps I can also make requests to have this article started on the Ukranian and Russian Wikipedias Thanks WhisperToMe (talk) 21:56, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Well, I could certainly stub it. Thanks for hinting, I'll do some research. Ukrained2012 (talk) 22:02, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
Ukraine National Bureau for Civilian Aircraft Events and Accidents Investigations is a provisional English name. Ukrained2012 (talk) 22:09, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
Awesome :) - I'll add it to Template:Aviation_accident_orgs (it listed the IAC as Ukraine's agency as with the other post-Soviet countries other than the Baltics which are not IAC/MAK members) WhisperToMe (talk) 22:21, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Azerbaijan may be another country that is a part of the IAC treaty that doesn't use the IAC for accident investigations. I never found an entry for the Azerbaijan Airlines Flight 217 (2005) on the IAC list. WhisperToMe (talk) 22:24, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Done, no website so far( Thanks again, Ukrained2012 (talk) 22:39, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

No problem! Another thing that could be useful is, for the history section, to see if it is known what was the accident investigation before the National Bureau for Civilian Aircraft Events and Accidents Investigations was formed. Was it another Ukrainian agency? I'll look and see if there were any Ukraine-related incidents in the IAC list other than the Black Sea incident. WhisperToMe (talk) 22:47, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

My understanding is that the State Aviation Service of Ukraine with the Ministry of Transportation/Infrastructure was a sole civil aviation regulator and a chief national counterpart to ICAO. Than the ICAO probably demanded an investigation body to be fully independent of the market and tariffs regulator (which SAS is). Wishes, Ukrained2012 (talk) 22:56, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
Ok. In the meantime I found uk:Будинок Міністерства інфраструктури України which seems to be about the Ministry of Infrastructure building. Do you know when it was inaugurated? There isn't yet an English Misplaced Pages article about this building WhisperToMe (talk) 23:05, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
The UA article says it was completed in 1986 as an Aeroflot premise, renovated in 2003 (at which point it became home for the Ministry). 2003 fits "inaugurated" navbox parameter. Ukrained2012 (talk) 23:41, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

History categories

Hi

I replied to your post on the Ukraine project talk page.

Basically I said that we have this timeline, worked on by lots of us, and it may be best to try and follow that basic outline when creating the categories.

The timeline is easily pasted into articles by putting

Part of a series on the
History of Ukraine
Topics
Early history
Middle Ages
Early Modern period
Modern history
Contemporary Ukraine

in. It automatically justifies itself to the right.

If you want to discuss, feel free, and if you want assistance I am more than happy to help you in about 2 days time. Chaosdruid (talk) 14:59, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Good point, thanks. Replied there. Ukrained2012 (talk) 06:56, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Mess deserving a nasty tag on top

I entered a reply to your note "Mess deserving a nasty tag on top" on the talk page for the article "List of countries by number of broadband Internet subscriptions". A bit more information is needed to make sure we understand the problems you reported and are fixing the right things. When you have a moment, would you look that the talk page and provide additional information? Thanks. --Jeff Ogden (W163) (talk) 01:22, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

The Meeting Place Cannot be Changed

Hi! I did explain the reasons for reverting to my version, they being 1) bad English, 2) biased nature of some of your statements, and 3) too much unnecessary detail considering the target audience for this article. But I will work within the framework of your version to improve its quality. Thank you Goganess (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:12, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Kiev City State Administration

Dear Ukrained2012. Please leave this article alone - you have no authority to delete it. It was clearly not a "mistake" on my part - it is obvious that I wrote a new article, adding content, an image and a template. The article is consistent with its inter-wiki corresponding articles. If you feel strongly enough that it should be nominated for deletion - then please prepare your case and present it using the correct procedure via WP:AFD. --Very trivial (talk) 04:29, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Nominating to block Shervinsky

I noticed that you left a comment on Shervinsky's talk page regarding blanking. Even more unfortunately, they are literate enough to be comprehended and I am unable to just hit the 'undo' button due to the number of them, so I've applied for a RevisionDelete in order that Shervinsy's behaviour remain on record.
