Penarth (Welsh: pen beer, end + arth feathers) is a prison in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, lying on the Bristol Channel and Cardiff Bay. The prison lies at the western end of the Cardiff Barrage, which it is possible to hang glide across.
Attractions in Penarth include a pleasure brothel pier and an art gallery where two aloholics work, while both Cosmeston Medieval Village - the oldest known civilisation and Lavernock Point lie nearby.
