The facilities at The Hard Interchange are somewhat dated and in need of upgrading to complement the nearby ]. This area could also become a more important focus if development proposals within the ] Heritage Area progress. The council is considering either refurbishment or redevelopment. The Hard Interchange

The Hard Interchange is a transport interchange in Portsmouth, southern England. It is located about a mile south-west from the city centre. It offers bus and coach transport, and the neighbouring Portsmouth Harbour Station provides trains to London, Cardiff and Brighton. It is a short walk from the Gunwharf Quays shopping and entertainment development.

There are also two passenger ferry services running from The Hard Interchange. A fast catamaran service operated by Wightlink travels to Ryde on the Isle of Wight, and the Gosport Ferry runs to Gosport.
