Antonio López García (born Tomelloso, Ciudad Real, 1936) is a Spanish painter and sculptor. He is admired by his realistical style of painting, criticized by some art critics, as a kind of neo-academism, but praised by others, who consider him a master realist, like Robert Hughes. His style sometimes is considered hyperrealistic. His painting was the subject of the film El Sol del Membrillo, by Victor Erice, in 1993.
