Sylvain Wiltord (born May 10, 1974 in Neuilly-sur-Marne) is a French football (soccer) forward. With the French national team, Wiltord won Template:Ec2.

Wiltord played for Rennes (1992-97), Girondins Bordeaux (1997-2000), Arsenal (2000-04), and Lyon (2004-current).

For France, Wiltord is capped 76 times, scoring 24 goals. One of those goals came in the 94th minute of Euro 2000 final, tying Italy. France then won the title on a golden goal by David Trezeguet. Other than that tournament win, he also played for his country at the

and Template:Ec2.

Wiltord signed English club Arsenal for a club-record £13,000,000 in August 2000, weeks after scoring the Euro 2000 final. He played 175 times for the Gunners, but could never oust Dennis Bergkamp or Thierry Henry as one of the clubs's two main strikers. Instead, Wiltord found himself either starting from the bench or on the wing. Eventually frustrated with lack of striking opportunities, he allowed his contract to expire without renewal, returning to France with Lyon. The highlight of his Arsenal career was scoring the goal at Old Trafford which clinched the 2002 FA Premier League title at the home of arch-rivals Manchester United. He scored a total of 49 goals for the club, and was part of Arsenal's 2003-04 unbeaten season.

Moving to Lyon, Wiltord found further success, winning two league titles and reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League in successive seasons.
