Falcon Aviation Academy (Falcon Aviation Academy, LLC) is a division of Falcon Aviation Services, Inc. based out of Newnan, GA at the Newnan-Coweta County Airport (KCCO). Currently serving the Metro Atlanta area, students have graduated to occupy positions in commercial, corporate, and military aviation industries.
Mission Statement
To provide customers with the highest quality of aviation training and experience in pursuing their aviation interests and/or careers. The primary goal is to develop careers and to help ensure years of success and enjoyment in all aviation endeavors.
Background
Falcon Aviation began in 1999 as Griffin Flight School located out of the Spalding County Airport (6A2) in Griffin, GA. The flight school quickly ran out of space and made the decision to move to Peachtree City, GA while at the same time acquiring and taking on the name of a local flight school, Peachtree Flight Center, operating at the Peachtree City Airport/Falcon Field (KFFC).
In 2002, Falcon Aviation began a multiple year fleet upgrade to transition from older model Cessna Aircraft and Piper Aircraft to state of the art Diamond Aircraft. The fleet upgrade offered more advanced cockpit training with Garmin G1000 avionics for the Instrument Course as well as other panel mount Garmin units for other training courses.
In 2006, additional locations were opened in the Metro Atlanta Area. Some served a specific purpose for a short term and others have proven to be a more viable opportunity.
As of 2014, Falcon Aviation Academy had over 200 students from all over the world in a aviation career focused curriculum with a majority training out of the Newnan-Coweta Location.
Aircraft Maintenance
A fully staffed maintenance facility is located at the Newnan-Coweta training location with a staff of certified maintenance personnel that can complete routine or warranty work under Diamond, Cessna, and Theilert, through an efficient, time sensitive and safe process.
The maintenance division is led by highly qualified professionals that have a broad range of aviation backgrounds ranging from commercial fleets, military aircraft and well as general aviation and are fully trained to work on a range of aircraft types to include Piston, Turbo Prop and Jets.
