"Fill Your Heart" is a song written by Biff Rose and Paul Williams in 1966.
The song was originally released by Tiny Tim as the B-side to his 1968 hit single, "Tiptoe through the Tulips." The same recording appeared on Tiny Tim's concurrent debut LP God Bless Tiny Tim. This version of the song was arranged by Artie Butler.
Biff Rose released his own performance of the song on his debut album, The Thorn in Mrs. Rose's Side. This version was orchestrated by Arthur G. Wright.
David Bowie re-recorded the song and released it on his album Hunky Dory in 1971. It replaced the song "Bombers," which was originally intended for that album.
Guitarist Mick Ronson is credited as arranger on the David Bowie version, though the cover credits on Hunky Dory include the following: "Mick and I agree that the 'Fill You Heart' arrangement owes one hell of a lot to Arthur G. Wright and his proto-type." This refers to the Biff Rose recording, on which Bowie and Ronson closely based this performance.
Bowie's version of the song also appeared on the Japanese compilation The Best of David Bowie in 1974.
