Traditionally, Sydney has a large film industry, which plays an important part in Sydney’s economy. Fox Studios Australia is Sydney’s largest and most influencial film companies based in the city. Some of the most promininent films filmed in the city are, Moulin Rouge!, Mission Impossible II, Star Wars and The Matrix.

Sydney also has been the setting for countless films, the most succsessful being, Finding Nemo (set in Sydney Harbour), which was one of the highest grossing films of 2003. Other films depicting Sydney are Muriels Wedding and Babe: Pig in the City, among others.
