Heads up on the Matt Stairs article
Just letting you know that I edited one of your contributions to the Matt Stairs article, specifically the analysis of his defense, in case you might disagree with my revision. PianoMonkey 18:35, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
Thought you might be interested...
hey cfif, thought you may be interested in the Kyle Farnsworth page i just added some edits to. i know he doesn't play with the cubs anymore (since they're your favorite team), but check the info and link i added. you'll be rewarded with laffs. Clinevol98
Good edits. --CFIF 21:55, August 4, 2005 (UTC)
by the way, i didnt think someone was doing exactly what i was doing on wikipedia; we both go to baseball team pages and write bios for the players that dont have them or expanding bios. like the farnsworth page...i love the braves and noticed that no one had put info about his fights.Clinevol98 22:00, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
We need more people like you. I really don't like seeing baseball stubs that consist of one-three sentences w/no external links or categories (besides "Baseball Biography Stubs").
--CFIF 22:03, August 4, 2005 (UTC)
Alright, ill get around to adding the categories. Clinevol98 02:20, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for the info..... (CFIF 14:33, Jun 6, 2005 (UTC))
Not to be forgotten...
Considering the imposters (sp?) that have worn Cubs uniforms over the years, maybe you also need a section, "To be forgotten". This year, LaTroy Hawkins would be at the top of that list. This category might be regarded as POV, though. d:) Wahkeenah 30 June 2005 19:58 (UTC)
Well, you can also say the Not to be forgotten is a POV also. (--CFIF June 30, 2005 20:04 (UTC))

Katrina
What do you mean by "European"? People who live in Europe? People who were born in Europe? People who look like Europeans? With Katrina, I have already mentioned that I underestimated this event. And you are quoting what I said previously, while knowing subsequent events. I stand my my POV that America is not prepared for a large disaster, due to not having experienced once since 1906. I now hope that complacency will change. Leistung 15:59, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
- You acted like the floods in Europe were more important than this disaster. --CFIF 19:26, September 1, 2005 (UTC)
- We mainly saw CNN here, and it looked as if New Orleans was missed completely, and the storm passed over very quickly. Obviously the aftermath has compounded the problems, and the Katrina disaster appears bigger then anything in Europe. However, I do think that there should be some sort of local Civil Defense operating in the US. If there is, it doesn't seem to work. Do you have "what if" senarios there? We have had interest ones here on TV, eg, What if the power was switched off? Result: Total chaos. What if the young people refused to pay for old people? Result: the old folks die. Leistung 10:20, 2 September 2005 (UTC)
Externals on Katrina
Please don't reinsert those externals into the Katrina article. Misplaced Pages is not a link directory or an aggregation blog, See WP:NOT. In particular some of those sites which have been repeadidly inserted by open proxy addresses contain suspect donation requests. Misplaced Pages consensus since the tsunami is to not external to unoffical donation sites. --24.165.233.150 20:29, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
Who are you to tell me that? Those are external links. And you can't seem to find a username. --CFIF 20:50, September 3, 2005 (UTC)
Cats
Why are the categories not needed for some of the hurricane articles, as you've said in your edit summaries? --Golbez 00:41, 23 October 2005 (UTC)
They may confuse some people who look in the 2005 Atlantic Hurricane Season cat, and it's kind of useless to have a link in a category pointing to a disambig page. At least that's my reasoning. --CFIF 00:43, 23 October 2005 (UTC)
I reverted your removal of the categories at the Tropical Storm Maria article because it is a guideline/policy of the tropical cyclone wikiproject to have those sorts of categories for tropical cyclone disambiguation pages. Just letting you know why. Miss Michelle | Talk to Michelle 17:21, 27 October 2005 (UTC)
I'm sorry. I didn't know about the guidelines --CFIF 21:06, 27 October 2005 (UTC)
(Moved this into the Cats section)
- Personally I like looking at the season category and seeing a full list of names. It's even better when the disambiguation pages are obvious because they say (disambiguation), but I haven't gotten up to trying to convince people to rename them all. I agree that duplicate category entries are not needed however: for instance Hurricane Ophelia and Tropical Storm Ophelia do not both have to be in Category:2005 Atlantic hurricane season. Jdorje 09:18, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's why I removed them, because it may confuse people. --CFIF 14:44, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
Hurricane disambiguation categories
I noticed you removed the categories from Hurricane Arlene (which I added back). These categories don't hurt anything, they help navigation by filling out the categories for each season so all storms are visible there (see for instance Category:2005 Atlantic hurricane season. They've been added to *every* disambiguation article so removing them from just one isn't a good thing. If you feel strongly about this we should bring this up in a discussion somewhere and if there's consensus you can remove them from all the disambiguations. Jdorje 06:53, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
I apologise. See the section above. --CFIF 12:43, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
hurricane button bars
Can you go through and fix all the button bars you've added? At minimum they need to use a template that's in the template space. Jdorje 08:53, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
- I fixed the ones added to hurricanes in the 2003 season. That's the only season I added a button bar to. --CFIF 13:39, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
TV Market
Hi, I have noticed that in the past you have edited or created a template for a television DMA (market) in North America, or have edited an articles about television stations. Currently their are several different styles of the template being used. Because of this i have set up a workshop to obtain input on setting up a common configuration for these templates. Feel free to assist at Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Television Stations/markets. Also while you are their, feel free to leave you name as a participant on the Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Television Stations as well as any comments you might have, to help wikipedia improve articles on television stations. If you know some one else who has helped contribute to these templates or you think would like to help, please pass this mesage on to them. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 04:39, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
Sarasota,FL
Hi, I noticed you have some activity in the Sarasota,FL article. My problem is that the article seems to have some features of the City of the Sarasota and the unincorperated parts of North Sarasota County (which most there considered themselves from Sarasota). Having lived in the unincorperated parts of the county for most of my whole life, this destinction is important. Most of the people don't live in the City of Sarasota. I just think the article needs to be strictly about the City of Sarasota, or preferably about the whole Sarasota Area (Mostly North Sarasota County). I was thinking that I should talk to someone who has some history in the article before I do anything else. --Iraqiman 06:02, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
I agree. A lot of people assume Stephen King lives in Sarasota. Good idea --CFIF 12:09, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
Tampa newspeople category
Hi. What do you think about making your Category:Tampa news personalities a subcategory of Category:Tampans? Just wondering... I can see the pros and cons of either approach. The Tampans one seems too generic but, from the wording in it, I'd assume the news personalities fit the dscription as residing in Tampa or having resided there. I also kinda figure Category:Mayors of Tampa, Florida belongs under Tampans too... wknight94 20:03, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
- Maybe as a sub-category. --CFIF 20:09, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

Baseball on Wikicities
Hello CFIF, Googie Man here and I want to ask you something as a fellow baseball fan(and regular at Tropicana Field) on Wikipedian. Jimbo and Angela have made a new webstie called Wikicities. This link in particular will take you to the baseball Wikicity. As you'll see it's similar to Misplaced Pages, but my hope is this will allow baseball fans to do more and different things, like reporting on games, in depth statistics, create mulitple pages for pictures, and whatever else baseball fans care to create. You've done great work on Misplaced Pages and I was hoping you could help get this baseball Wikicity off the ground. Please let me know what you think either at my talk page, or you can email me at terry@wikia.com. Thanks! Googie Man, 21:26, 4 January 2006
- Thanks so much for your response CFIF! I'll see you on the Baseball Wikicity. Googie Man, 21:34, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

KTVX -> KTVX-TV Page move_KTVX-TV_Page_move-2006-01-10T02:38:00.000Z">
As we have talked about on the talk page for KTVX, the page should have been kept at KTVX and not moved to KTVX-TV. The FCC call letters for this station are KTVX. I refer you to Misplaced Pages:Naming_conventions#Broadcasting. Please make note of the phrase "... should always be titled with the official call sign as assigned by that country's regulatory authority." (bold text mine). If you have anything to add to the conversation please bring it up on the talk page of KTVX, we already have a section about the article name. A 02:38, 10 January 2006 (UTC)_KTVX-TV_Page_move"> _KTVX-TV_Page_move">
- But legally, all stations must have W/K___-TV/DT/LP/CA as a suffix. Technically WTVT, in Tampa does not have a -TV attached to it on its query page, but it's license says: Service Designation: TV NTSC (analog) television station. None of the stations have -TV directly attached to them on theit query page. But if it's liscense says Service Designation: TV NTSC (analog) television station, its suffix is TV. End of story. --CFIF 02:45, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- This has been gone over numerous times on the talk page of KTVX. Please pull up that page for further arguments, but in summary, the first type of service to be assigned call letters does NOT have any suffix. The service designation does not change the call letters. If you wish to argue this, please take it to the talk page of WP:Naming_conventions, but until the convention is changed, please do not move pages to -TV unless the FCC query returns the call letters as such. KTVX is NOT one of those stations. I did not set the convention, but I do what I can to keep the TV stations I have on my watchpage conforming to the convention. A 02:54, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- I reverted your moves because these are the absolute correct callsigns to these stations. As a New York City-area resident, I happen to see that stations such as WNBC, WNYW and WPIX currently id themselves with those callsigns, and not as WNBC-TV, WNYW-TV and WPIX-TV. These are the official callsigns according to the FCC, and unless proven otherwise, these should be the titles. As A said, all titles should be based on the official callsign as regulated by the government, as shown here:Misplaced Pages:Naming_conventions#Broadcasting. ErikNY 20:52, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Lapoweroutmap.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:Lapoweroutmap.PNG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Misplaced Pages because of copyright law (see Misplaced Pages's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Misplaced Pages are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Longhair 06:05, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

dont bite the newcomers!
A template for deletion for someone as new as this user is poison-- especially when it can benifit from a clean up. Please remove your template for deletion and walk through this user how they can be a better wikipedian and improve the template. it's better to show a man how to fish than to tell him his fish doesn't taste very good :). Thanks, --Urthogie 23:22, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry. It's just that the template was somewhat messy, and it clashed with pages. Its not really the users fault and not blaming him/her, I just think it was a little too messy. I'll try to get rid of it off the deletion page. --CFIF 00:58, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Future Templates
I have ideas for corporate templates for the following companies:
- Gannett Company Inc.
- Meredith Corporation
- Clear Channel Communications
- Sinclair Broadcast Group
- Nexstar Broadcasting Group
- Raycom Media
- The Washington Post Company
- Belo Corporation
- Cox Enterprises
- Hearst Corporation - Parent company of Hearst-Argyle Television
I'm just curious to know if any or all of them are good ideas...
I would also like to know of the formatting of a template...

- Sinclair would be a great one, along with Gannett and Raycom. Just create them like you did before. Go to the corporate websites for the information on the important folks, and other Wikipedians will be glad to help you create one. If you want, you can create a sub-page for a work in progress by creating something like: User:WIKISCRIPPS2005/Gannett Template. (I'll post this on your talk page also). --CFIF 02:41, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

WHDH
The actual the official station logo under Sunbeam Television does have a NBC Peacok logo in it I have seen it. (Also look at the bottom left hand corner of their website's main page and you'll see the 7 logo with a peacock as well). I also remember doing some research on the station about 5 years ago and their official logo had a NBC peacock in it with in bold letters saying WHDH-TV under both 7 and the peacock. The logo that you have displayed is only their news logo and NOT the official station logo. Also why would have the station's non-news brand be called 7NBC if it didn't have a peacock (or the letters) in its official logo?
Here's proof of this: File:Promo logo for WHDH.gif

Please stop referring to other editors' work on WP as "Crappy", "Worthless", "lies", "stupid", "dumb", "sloppy", "substandard", "dumbass", "BS", "ridiculous", etc
When you write things like that, in edit summaries, or on talk pages, you are violating WP:Civil. Whether or not you believe the edits to be less than high-quality, or correct, your comments only serve to inflame the situation. You are thus causing problems. I've already asked you once, on Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television_Stations, only to see you again call another editor's work "worthless". Edit summaries are to reflect why you are editing the page or section, not your opinion of other editors' work. A look at your edit summaries list is quite troubling, because it shows a pattern of violating WP policy. Please stop.--Firsfron 18:52, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
- I apologize. I just have a problem with certain people (namely anonymous users, who are mainly vandals) and I have a problem with keeping it to myself. --CFIF (talk to me) 18:54, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
- I agree it can be difficult dealing with real vandalism. Incorrect information, however, is rarely vandalism. Your edits on WP have been very valid and usually high-quality work. But your edit list is troubling to me because of the unneeded commentaries about the quality of others' work. Now that you realize you've accidentally violated a WP official policy, I know you won't do it again, because you are a good editor, clearly.--Firsfron 19:17, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

WSAZ
On the My Network TV list of affiliates you need to quit reverting the affiliate of the WSAZ digital subchannel back to WB. Also you don't need to leave comments like "well duh"! Not to be rude but when you post something you need to check your information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alucard 16 (talk • contribs)
"you post something you need to check your information."
I'm NOT stupid. It was a little more than obvious that it was going to be MNTV on a digital subchannel. After all was the page is called List of My Network TV affiliates. And I did not "revert the affiliate of the WSAZ digital subchannel to WB" so I think you need to "check your information". --CFIF (talk to me) 22:05, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
I did not say you were stupid. The reverts I was referring to was on and . Thank you on your recent correction by saying 'None'. --Alucard_16 22: 37 8 May 2006

WKOW
Why would our logo be a POV? Its part of our stations history. I am an employee of WKOW and I wish this would stay on here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wisconsineditor (talk • contribs)
The logo has nothing to do with it, but you need to stop posting POV words to it. (like "As an ABC affiliate, WKOW-TV provides viewers of Southern Wisconsin and extreme Northern Illinois with quality programming from ABC" "For the past 50 years, WKOW 27 has been a pioneer for new technology and at the pinnacle of breaking news coverage. WKOW 27 continues to be on the cutting edge of broadcast media and advanced technology.") You just can't do that here. --CFIF (talk to me) 20:16, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
WKOW
What is up with the content on the WKOW information? I tried to change it so you would remove the tag and the POV. I dont see what the problem is with the current information. Pointless and selfish. The only people who will be looking at this information are probably local residents of Madison and you should let us do our work because we know our information. I intern at WKOW and its apparent I know what is best for what goes on the site.
Why don't you learn how to sign your comments first! I don't believe you have any buisness telling ME to "let you do your work because you know your information." I know my information too --CFIF (talk to me) 01:04, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

Possible Template for Internet Broadcasting
I hope I didn't get you at a bad time... But I wanted to ask you... What do you think of a business template for Internet Broadcasting??? Let me know ASAP!!! --WIKISCRIPPS 07 (formerly WIKISCRIPPS2005) TUE MAY 23 2006 5:38 PM EDT
It's not really a broadcasting company, though...--CFIF (talk to me) 21:39, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe so -- but I'm running out of ideas and I'm already planning templates for Belo, Gray Television and McGraw-Hill... A lot of the other major companies have been taken... It won't hurt to give it a shot!!! Right!?!? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 TUE MAY 23 2006 5:47 PM EDT
- Well if all the necessary templates have been created, there's no need for more on a website company...it will probably just clutter the station pages. --CFIF (talk to me) 22:01, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- How about Cox Communications? --CFIF (talk to me) 22:02, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Experimenting with TOC Templates
What do you think of a template that lists most or all stations in a state -- sorted by affiliation???
Example:
It looks big and can use some adjustments -- including a navigational frame giving users the option to hide or view the template when they're viewing an article -- just like what was done with all of the business templates!!!
I know I might be going overboard and this could be considered as a very tall order but I do like to bring up a cause for experimental templates.
Tell me if you like the idea or no...
If you like it... Tell me why and if any changes are necessary then tell me what are they...
If you don't me then please tell me why and I'll try something else...
Please take into consideration!!!
WIKISCRIPPS 07 FRI MAY 26 2006 7:20 PM EDT
- Yeah, it's a little overboard. --CFIF (talk to me) 23:21, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- Well, wouldn't you agree though that we should experiment with such items??? By the way -- what do you suggest that is reasonable??? WIKISCRIPPS 07 FRI MAY 26 2006 7:35 PM EDT
- It's so big though, too much clutter. --CFIF (talk to me) 23:40, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- Well then... Do you have any ideas for new templates??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 FRI MAY 26 7:50 PM EDT

Intrastate Broadcast Templates (Picking up from Experimenting with TOC Templates)
How can I include the templates in one or more categories??? -- Also, keep in mind that I have the immediate service area of each of the stations listed... So if nothing else let's get them started!!! Also, we need a separate template of the "other" stations... The reason I say that is fairly simple -- because not every network has enough stations for these to have own template... Give you an example of what I'm talking about... The spanish network Univision has only one station in Michigan -- that being Detroit's WUDT-CA You understand what I'm talking about... Right!?!? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 FRI MAY 26 2006 9:08 PM EDT
- Yup. Only add full-power independents/affiliates and low-power affils if any. --CFIF (talk to me) 01:10, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Okay... QUESTION #1:
- Well then tell me what am I to do with other networks such as Univision, Urban America Television, i: Independent Television and FamilyNet, among many others???
- NEXT QUESTION:
- How would we set these up for markets bordering Mexico and Canada and how would design templates for stations in those countries???
- THE THIRD AND FINAL QUESTION:
- Categories. How can I include one of these templates in one or more categories???
- Please WB ASAP!!! --WIKISCRIPPS 07 FRI MAY 26 9:22 PM EDT
- 1. Only include i, Univision, Telefutura, Telemundo, and full-power independents. also, put it like this: (i/City), etc.
- 2. Just include stations serving the state (e.g. XETV)
- 3. Just create a category and link it in the template. --CFIF (talk to me) 01:28, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- How would I do the formatting for categorization is what I mean??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 FRI MAY 26 2006 9:39 PM EDT
- Just add Category: _____ affiliates in *state* below the template stuff. --CFIF (talk to me) 01:41, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- No pressure -- let me rephrase that!!! When editing the templates... What are the HTML codes for categorization??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 FRI MAY 26 2006 9:44 PM EDT
- Not sure what you mean.....just add ] to the bottom w/o the "no wiki" tags of course. --CFIF (talk to me) 13:51, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Also, take a look at this:
--CFIF (talk to me) 01:29, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

There's Fox Florida. --CFIF (talk to me) 15:25, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Yeah... I also wanted to point out regarding the UPN and WB stations... In each of these templates -- reflecting to the huge higher in the talk page that I showed you days ago -- you want to place a little note underneath the Table name -- (i.e.: for UPN stations,
Note: In parenthesis is the alternate affiliation following the UPN shutdown -- Effective September 2006
) Here you would put whether the stations would joining The CW or My Network TV or if infact the station would become Independent and you put it in parenthesis "()" along the station's immediate service area -- (i.e.: KCOP 13 (Los Angeles, MNTV) for Los Angeles' UPN station.)
Should you find a station that hasn't decided its affiliation then you put "ND" for "not yet decided". (i.e.: WFQX 33 / WFUP 45 (Traverse City / Cadillac, ND) -- for the Fox/UPN stations in Traverse City, Michigan.)
Also -- for stations that will carry one of these networks on a digital subchannel -- you would put the following:
Example using Cincinnati CBS station WKRC:
WKRC-DT 31.2 (Cincinnati) -- because it would be a new subchannel it is best to wait 'til after The CW has launched.
For other stations:
In Madison, WI... WISC-DT 50.2 (Madison, MNTV) -- in the UPN Wisconsin Template.
Anything else I should cover??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 SAT MAY 27 2006 12:22 PM EDT
Maybe instead of adding UPN and WBs, put CW's and MNTV's and put undecideds in the "other" area. --CFIF (talk to me) 16:29, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
The Other Networks
Here's a visual picture of my idea:

The little bar on top -- wouldn't it be a kick to color-coordinate the bar with the network's logo??? What's your take on this??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 SUN MAY 28 2006 6:13 PM EDT
That's not a bad idea....but what about NBC/CBS/FOX/ABC...not much to color coordinate. --CFIF (talk to me) 22:15, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- Well, let's start with ABC -- black background with white letters...
- Next, CBS -- like ABC only do reverse colors...
- Then we come to Fox -- white background with the letters typed in whatever color as the letters "F-O-X" appears in the logo itself...
- Then finally, NBC white or black background with letters typed using all six colors represented in the peacock logo...
- Any questions??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 SUN MAY 28 2006 6:23 PM EDT
- Sounds good. --CFIF (talk to me) 23:46, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- Now this would also apply to MNTV and CW along with "Other"...
- Now for the "Others" category -- this may sound corny but for each state you may want to color-coordinate using colors of the logo reflecting the network with the most affiliated stations in that state!!!
- Do you follow me??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 SUN MAY 28 2006 8:02 PM EDT
- That might be tough because I am not good with HTML colors. --CFIF (talk to me) 00:11, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- Say, what are these templates called anyways and where can I find them??? Because I'm getting curious!!! --WIKISCRIPPS 07 SUN MAY 28 2006 8:19 PM EDT
- I haven't actually made the Florida ones yet...but they would be called "ABC Florida", etc. --CFIF (talk to me) 00:23, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- No, not that -- the formatting of the templates -- how are they classified and where can I find them??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 SUN MAY 28 2006 8:27 PM EDT

A complaint re:Sue Simmons
Dear sir or madam: I feel that the Misplaced Pages is a very inaccurate (which has been proven) and childish website. You proved the childish part with your comment "Removed link that no longer is useful because the idiot, and yes, I do mean idiot, who runs that site took it down b/c it was linked from wikipedia". You shouldn't be calling people idiots. I feel that Misplaced Pages should not link to my site so I removed the page. It is protected speech in both the United States and in Canada. Given the fact that most of the editors on Misplaced Pages are either high schoolers or have the mental age of high schoolers I do not wish to have anything to do with it, save for this complaint which will be my first and most likely last comment on this bloody website. Thank you. ComplaintAgainstCFIF 02:49, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

What do you think should be done about him? David Levy won't get involved, and now CoolKatt has enlisted Firsron of Rochester to support him.
Firsfron left me two messages on my talk page, including the same sentence twice, asking me to stop labelling others' work as "vandalism". I left him a note on his talk page, explaining my side of the story. He responded by telling me that he "didn't bother to read this message", and that he "(didn't) care, and I'm again asking you not to violate Misplaced Pages policy". If he doesn't care about what I have to say, then why should I care about what he has to say?
Last time I checked, Firsfron is NOT AN ADMINISTRATOR, so to me his opinion has no weight. We need to build up a stong case between ourselves against CoolKatt, either through Request for comment or some other means, because now he's feeling even more empowered and he needs to be brought down. Rollosmokes 16:50, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- I know you and I have had some disagreements in the past...but I think we can agree on the fact that CoolKatt is a problem user who does stuff out of process. He plays the victim through David Levy, Firsfron, and other admins and runs smear campaigns against users like me and you, playing the "helpless" game. CoolKatt also believes he can just say what he wants and he won't get in trouble because he has people like Firsfron and David Levy on his side to back him up. He even had the nerve to make legal threats against me, which is strictly forbidden at WP, yet all's he gets is a slap on the wrist and I even get warned. CoolKatt also has those ridiculous subpages which have no place at WP. --CFIF (talk to me) 17:11, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

- Sounds good. --CFIF (talk to me) 18:11, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
I appreciate your recent revert of actual vandalism on CK's page, CFIF. Thanks. As far "backing CoolKatt", I've done no such thing, and left the same warning on both users' (Rollo's and CK's) pages. I would prefer not to take sides, but it saddens me to see statements like someone "needs to be taken down". In peace,--Firsfron of Ronchester 18:20, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- It's not fair though that there is some kind of double standard against certain users. CoolKatt makes a legal threat, and gets a slap on the wrist while other users make legal threats and get banned. It's a major rule at WP. --CFIF (talk to me) 18:22, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. --Firsfron of Ronchester 18:24, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
And then there's the subpages
And he also has these subpages, which show up on Google, Why does he get to keep those when they are entirely fictional and do nothing to contribute to an encyclopedia. --CFIF (talk to me) 18:29, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- Now, CK has threatened me with an RfC -- on Firsfron's talk page, no less. I'm crapping in my pants at the thought! But check my revision to my talk page and tell me what you think of this. Rollosmokes 08:21, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- I agree 152.789% with what you said, Rollo. --CFIF (talk to me) 15:08, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Now he's gone off the deep end
CK has gone ahead and drew up an Request for Comment against me. (sarcastically) I've never been so scared in my life!! Rollosmokes 06:51, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
He really needs to get real and realize what a problem he is. --CFIF (talk to me) 13:26, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
TD1
Hey, I don't want to get into an edit war, so I'll just post here. I think, general consensus last season was that info from NHC text forecast to be put down. For the non-US users, we still don't know where those counties are exactly in FL. So, perhaps a more generic "landfall in Florida", as a compromise? NSLE (T+C) at 15:27 UTC (2006-06-10)
Okay...sounds good. --CFIF (talk to me) 15:28, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
How to sort Statewide Network Listings
I have created a category for all of these templates...
Go to: Category:Intrastate Broadcast Templates
These templates will be classified as "Intrastate Broadcast Templates"!!!
Any questions or comments??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 SUN JUN 11 2006 7:10 PM EDT
Sounds like a plan! --CFIF (talk to me) 23:16, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- It just popped in my head while I went around making minor fixes to some of the existing templates...
- Oh!!! I just though of another idea!!! A default template that would give the user an idea of how to setup the template -- like they do with Business Navigation Boxes (Template:Navbox Company). I got it!!! How does Template:Intrastate Broadcast sound??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 SUN JUN 11 2006 7:48 PM EDT
- Sounds great....--CFIF (talk to me) 23:50, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- Check out the new template above -- it's up and running!!! --WIKISCRIPPS 07 SUN JUN 11 2006 8:22 PM EDT
Other Broadcast Networks
It looks as if we might need two "Others" categories, one for English stations and the other for Spanish and other foreign language stations -- each will have their own share of independent stations included... Because I'm starting to notice that some networks have concentrated affiliations in random areas (i.e.: Template:Univision California, Template:Telefutura California, Template:California Independent Stations and Template:Other California Stations)... What do you think??? --WIKISCRIPPS 07 MON JUN 12 2006 2:57 PM EDT

How about not. It's not relevant. It's just a copy of what we're doing at WP. --CFIF (talk to me) 02:38, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
RfC
I am NOT abusing it. This is only my SECOND RfC. Now, leave me alone, please. CoolKatt number 99999 03:06, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah right, nominating an admin who did two little things that didn't even whisper incivility or any of the policies you listed. --CFIF (talk to me) 03:10, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
BenH -- on another website?
I know this may be using a talk page for the wrong thing, but hopefully this may prove that he has no idea what he is talking about. After reading this edit summary by TPIRFanSteve, I decided to actually visit that website. Now, I'm not some die-hard Price is Right fan, but I knew I was on to something when I found two posts from him in this thread, and another one here.
Knowing his full last name, I tried Googling it. I was suprised when I saw that he may have been or might currently be active on IMDB and/or TV.com. Now, there isn't really any way to prove this. I just thought you might be interested in this stuff. —Whomp 21:59, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- I used to post there a lot, but got into other things and sort of abandoned it. He's a class A tool. --CFIF (talk to me) 22:02, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Contestants' Row images
Hey...I'm not sure I get why you'd want that new, overly dark image of Contestants' Row in the TPIR article when the one it replaced was so much more crisp and clear. Actually, I don't think any of the pictures Cheesehead added today are any good, with the exception of the Showcase podiums. They're all quite blurry compared to the ones he removed. -TPIRFanSteve 22:14, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- They don't look that bad. --CFIF (talk to me) 22:19, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- In and of themselves, perhaps not. But compared to the images Cheesehead was using them to replace, they look like shit. Plain and simple, there was no justifiable reason for his changing them. -TPIRFanSteve 01:01, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- It's true; they do look worse. It was better to leave well enough alone. 71.35.115.38 01:07, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- This user TPIRFanSteve seems to have taken obsessive ownership of the various Price is Right articles and reacts to any change with reverts, just look at his edit history. I replaced bad images with better quality ones. If all the users are going to be as abusive as TPIRFanSteve I may just leave. Cheesehead 1980 01:15, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- 1.) I revert stuff when it's questionable or inaccurate. It's not my fault if it happens on a regular basis.
- 2.) If you think your images look better than the old ones, you are badly in need of an appointment with your eye doctor. I sincerely hope you do not intend to keep doing this. -TPIRFanSteve 01:49, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Digital broadcast info for various stations and possible national AccuWeather channel
I was looking at TV listings on Zap2it and found some interesting details. Apparently WWOR and WNYW cross offer each other on their DT3 channel. I was also looking for a listing that had WABC online Eyewhitness News Now as a sub-channel. It has ABC Eye Witness News & Weather listed and I wonder if it is the same feed as online. If this is the case, I think AccuWeather has created an all weather channel, like NBC Weather Plus. I wonder if other ABC O&O channels offer this service along with WFMZ and WSVN. Have you heard anything about a national AccuWeather channel?Sam 06:14, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
My response from my talk page:
- The paragraph in WABC-TV was poorly written, and the mentions of the other stations and NBC in it are unnecessary. Furthermore, it should be flagged with a "citation needed" marker. AS for what the stations do with their DTV subchannels, perhaps we should leave it up to the Television Stations WikiProject to determine whether they should be included in articles.
- Furthermore, mentions of what the stations call their respective weather radars (eg.: The station's radar is called "Mega Doppler 3", from KYW-TV, now deleted) is unnecessary and redundant. Those lines don't belong in articles.
Comments? Rollosmokes 06:52, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- Umm.....I think it depends on the notability of the radar, for example, WTVT's "SkyTower HD VIPIR" is the most powerful high definition TV station radar in the world, and I think that's worth mentioning. --CFIF (talk to me) 18:52, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
