Hi there, a bit of a form letter from me, Cyphoidbomb, but I wanted to drop you a line and thank you for your participation at my recent RfA, even if I couldn't sway you to support me. Although I was not successful, I certainly learned quite a bit both about the RfA process and about how the community views my contributions. It was an eye-opener, to say the least. Or to say the most. Thank you also for your follow-up questions. I wish I couldn've swayed you in particular, Epicgenius because our paths cross semi-often, but maybe I will next time. Big Flame (band) edit

I did try the "click here" link but nothing happened, so I am raising the matter here.

I carried out a small but significant edit to the article entitled "Big Flame (band)". This you rejected. I looked at the "What Misplaced Pages is NOT" but that didn't help. The reason that the edit was made was that the band did not "split", in the sense that bands are usually said to "split". What the band did was to act on a decision they made when the band was formed. That decision was that the band would have a life of three years and no more. This was part of the band's philosophy and their views about punk music and therefore I thought that it was important that this should be included. Perhaps the edit that I suggested was not clear enough about the facts. And my credentials? I know the band members. DMickG (talk) 08:48, 22 March 2014 (UTC)

Assuming that you are the same editor as 146.90.209.226 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), I reverted the edit because:
  1. the previous wording was fine.
  2. the article doesn't say anywhere else that the band said that they would break up after three years.
If you want to add it back, go ahead, but I recommend that you find another reliable source first. Epicgenius (talk) 12:41, 22 March 2014 (UTC)

Harborfields High School

Hello I am curious as to the reason of the edit/removal of all Notables except for Mariah Carey and Flanagan? If you were not the person who made these, please excuse my miss direction. In looking at some of the edits I can see where Opies (Greg Hughes) fans went and made (stupid) edits. However, I don't see why all other people were removed except for those note above. Even those with references were removed.

None of the entries were referenced or notable except for these two. The non-notable entries, even with references, were removed because just about anyone can find a source for their graduation at a school, whether they are notable or not. Epicgenius (talk) 14:33, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
Not sure how to respond so I am using the edit feature.
I do know that My entry was referenced. "Ken Cresswell" . How or who determines if a person is notable or not? Why does being able to find a source for their graduation school block them from being listed? Where you a graduate of Harborfields? Mybe the page should be set up as the Northport High School is notable graduates broken down by group?
Also if we are being consistent. Anthony Cumia is from John Glen High school. He is listed on there as a notable. John Glenn High School (Huntington, New York)
"Notable" is when it meets the guidelines of Misplaced Pages:Notability (people) (there must be at least one reliable source about a certain person, but not having an article does not disqualify someone from being listed).
