Anti-Christian violence in India

Hey there Darkness Shines, I saw your edit to the Anti-Christian violence in India article. I notice that you added back in some information that had been previously added by an IP as vandalism. I assume this was an error, so I went ahead and reverted it back. If there's an issue let me know. Thanks! Greedo8 23:00, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, I looked at the wrong diff and thought the IP was back adding shit. Darkness Shines (talk) 06:26, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Indo pak air war

Hi DarknessShines the casualties box clearly shows that India lost 60-75 and pakistan lost 20 according to neutral sources! Capes123 (talk) 16:57, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

A wikipedia article is not RS. Darkness Shines (talk) 17:03, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
I am talking about the source not the article Capes123 (talk) 17:04, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
this is the one used for neutral claims why should a biased indian source be used as a reference when we have neutral ones? Capes123 (talk) 17:06, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
Who the fuck says it is biased? Take your prejudices elsewhere. Darkness Shines (talk) 17:09, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Happy Bengali New Year

Hi DS, to day is Pohela Boishakh, Bengali new year. Happy New Year (in Bengali: শুভ নববর্ষ, it pronounced like "Shuva Naba Barsha").--FreemesM 02:47, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

Thank you, have a good one. Darkness Shines (talk) 06:53, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

Socks?

Hey, having tangled with Calypsomusic and D4iNa4 on multiple pages, it seems like they are showing a remarkable degree of coordination. D'you think they could be socks of each other? I looked through their contribs, they both started at very similar times, and after a few edits to different pages, have racked up a vast stack of edits on pages related to Elst, Modi, and the BJP, with very little else. They've both been active on the deletion debates for all of Elst's books, despite the fact that those are remarkably obscure....thoughts?Vanamonde93 (talk) 20:37, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

I had ,missed him, make your thoughts know here. Darkness Shines (talk) 21:07, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Having not done this before, I'd rather not goof it up; do I suggest that he is a sock in an extra comment, or should I add to the the list at the top? Cheers. Vanamonde93 (talk) 21:13, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Copy paste what is there, replace existing username with new one, not rocket science. Darkness Shines (talk) 21:18, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Okay, I did that, and it got fucked up. Why is it linking to the user Example when I typed in D4iNa4? Halp! and Apologies  :-)Vanamonde93 (talk) 21:28, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Just looked and it is fine, you do need to add diffs as evidence mind. Darkness Shines (talk) 21:34, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Okay, never mind, somebody else took care of it. Thanks, though. Vanamonde93 (talk) 21:35, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
(tps and ec) It was because you replaced the parameter number "1" with "2". That number is actually for the parameters accepted by a template and not the instances of the template. And it happens with everyone, good thing is you try and learn. -- SMS 21:36, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks friend. And I will now get off DS's Talk, before the notifications send him into a berserker rage. Cheers. Vanamonde93 (talk) 21:40, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

DYK for Rape during the Armenian Genocide

Updated DYK queryOn 17 April 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Rape during the Armenian Genocide, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that rape during the Armenian Genocide was described as being part of a plan for "the virtually complete extermination of the Armenians"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Rape during the Armenian Genocide. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

IDC

I don't know who you are.I am not trying to edit.I am writing on talk page. There must be a way I can find out who are the administrators.I don't know why in spite of my references there is no edit on that article. You didn't even try to explain the reason why reliable sources were removed from 2002 Gujarat violence. But since you are not the most powerful person on WP. I will contact some other administrators who will understand what I am trying to say.--ZORDANLIGHTER (talk) 10:51, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

Everything means just that, even talk pages. You cannot edit anything which deals in the topic areas of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. That is what a TBAN means, for finding admins look in the ] Darkness Shines (talk) 10:55, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

Franssen

Hans Franssen's case was checked and none were confirmed, but i'm still 99% sure that Mr.skylimit is Franssen because the case he opened looks similar to the first investigation i started on them in the archive. And why would someone other than Franssen create an account just to open an SPI on me?
Does it happen when CUs make mistakes sometimes? In that case, is it possible for them to re-check the case? Fitzcarmalan (talk) 07:22, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

Sometimes mistakes can be made, but this was most probably a meatpuppet and a one off attack. The account has been abandoned so I would now worry about it. Darkness Shines (talk) 07:29, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
I wouldn't worry either. It's just that i find it very unlikely for someone else to accuse me of sockpuppetry other than Franssen. I will give it a try and ping the CU, who btw made the same conclusion on Alhanuty's case, and i find this one hard to believe as well. Anyways, thanks for stepping in and i apologize if i kept bothering you with this. Regards. Fitzcarmalan (talk) 13:12, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
I know there is something very suspicious about Vantos234 but it appears Franssen changed his location. I don't know how CUs will find out about it if this was the case. Even the closing editor said there was something fishy about Mr.skylimit who was found to be unrelated to Franssen. Fitzcarmalan (talk) 16:52, 21 April 2014 (UTC)

Modi

Yo, why'd you just close the discussion? It was actually being somewhat constructive. Vanamonde93 (talk) 22:00, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

Looked like it was going nowhere to be honest, feel free to revert me man. Darkness Shines (talk) 05:59, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
Well possibly, but I still have some hopes, it's at least being carried on by three well-intentioned editors. Speaking of which, we'd appreciate your input there. Vanamonde93 (talk) 17:03, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

DYK for Child soldiers in Sierra Leone

Updated DYK queryOn 19 April 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Child soldiers in Sierra Leone, which you recently created or substantially expanded. I have explained

Hi, I have explained the place where Indian editors were called pro-BJP ]. Can you take back the notification to Arbitration? You are not following the Misplaced Pages policy and you are blaming it on me. - Vatsan34 (talk) 12:26, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

The link you gave only shows you accusing another editor of racism, and that means you have now accused people twice of being racist for no reason. Darkness Shines (talk) 14:59, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
You probably didn't see the joke part after it. At that time, I had not accused. But this time I have. It was clearly mentioned in that section that "Indian editors are pro-BJP". Please do check it twice. - Vatsan34 (talk) 17:48, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
That is not what is said at all, you are making shit up, "Nonsense wikilawyering as usual, trying to find whatever reason possible to discount academic sources because they don't tend to support the BJP narrative." to which you responded by calling the user racist, at no time did that user say anything along the lines of "Indian editors are pro-BJP". Darkness Shines (talk) 17:57, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
I don't know whether you belong to India or not. But as a person who had seen all these incidents through daily newspapers (which too goes through scrutiny similar to journals), Indian newspapers are definitely not pro-BJP. They are waiting to annihilate BJP. Supreme Court or SIT does not need to support Narendra Modi, who is being targeted by almost Tom, Dick and Harry of Media here. So, you don't need to worry that anything from India is pro-Hindu or something. Both Indian government and Indian media is so anti-Hindu that Secularism has become a joke term here. - Vatsan34 (talk) 18:32, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Chill down a bit.

Hi, Please chill down a bit and think about discussing with people. Everyone have intelligence and not all are trolls. Let this Beer drain down your anger and relax your nerves a bit. Cheers! Vatsan34 (talk) 17:53, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
Cheers for the beer, am tired and cranky, or at least crankier than usual. Darkness Shines (talk) 17:58, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
You use a lot of words, which might not look good in Misplaced Pages pages(in your very own talk page). Also you are trying to make things in control. But, it is not how it works in reality. - Vatsan34 (talk) 18:37, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Happy Easter !

Not sure if you celebrate or not, bt still ;) . and here is a pic to smile with the beer. cheers. DBigXray 17:49, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
That is a an excellent photo, and I did celebrate, extensively Darkness Shines (talk) 06:04, 21 April 2014 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Child soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Hello! Your submission of Child soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Oreo Priest 04:27, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

Impersonation/stalker

Due to the similarity in names, I was wondering if the recently-created account '‎Darkness Fallss' has anything to do with you. The only edit made from that account so far isn't something I'd consider disruptive, so perhaps it's a coincidence and we should give the benefit of the doubt. Just giving a heads up to keep an eye on it. ~Amatulić (talk) 16:26, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Recent revert at Narendra Modi article.

Hi. Hope you're well. My edit was only intended to reduce the number of sources as per Misplaced Pages:Citation overkill as there were five sources for one sentence when three would suffice. I did not remove any of the content that was added just two of the sources and in fact added to the remaining sources so that they were cited properly.
