Talk to me, Andy Mabbett
- If you post a message on this page, I'll reply on this page to avoid fragmenting the discussion.
- If I've left you a message on your talk page, I will be watching it, so please reply there rather than here (but do feel free to drop a copy of {{Talkback}} here).
- If appropriate, I will move discussion from here to the relevant article's talk page, so that anyone interested can join in.
- If you want to start a new discussion thread, please start it at the bottom of the page. Better still, use the "+" tab next to the "edit this page" tab, or the link at the foot of this section, either of which will do that automatically.
- Please do not make links from within section headings.
- Inaccessible HTML (coloured text, "small" tags", etc.) will be removed from this page on sight.
- Please sign and date your entries by inserting four tildes (~~~~) at the end.
- Start a new discussion.

Openstreetmap
I have fixed some of the double redirects, and will probably do the rest unless someone shouts at me to stop. What is the village pump at Openstreetmap's wiki? All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 02:22, 5 June 2014 (UTC).
- I found Talk:Wiki, and left a message. All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 03:00, 5 June 2014 (UTC).
- @Rich Farmbrough: many thanks. You might also try/ join the OSM "WikiProject Cleanup" project. See you over there! Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 07:59, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
Hello Andy,
Howard Sandroff here. I am happy to do anything to fix the article, there were some inaccuracies in the original German which are now in the English version. Tell me what and how or where to find same, and i can provide a nice head shot free of incumbrance. Same with voice recording. How can I help you clean up the article? Thanks so much for your interest and for your wikipedia service which is obviously extensive and very laudable. Where would be all be if not for wikipedia (probably in the library :-) 19:36, 5 June 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.13.80.60 (talk)
Disambiguation link notification for June 6
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Randy Borror
After seeing your WP:VP note, I found a little extra material on Randy Borror, who's clearly male. What needs to be done to indicate this in the infobox? Nyttend (talk) 14:49, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
- @Nyttend: We need to modify the infobox, as shown in {{Infobox User}}. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 09:26, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

PONY!
Pony!
Congratulations! For your help with California Chrome and the horse racing templates, you have received a pony! Ponies are cute, intelligent, cuddly, friendly (most of the time, though with notable exceptions), promote good will, encourage patience, and enjoy carrots. Treat your pony with respect and he will be your faithful friend! Montanabw 06:53, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

Interwiki links and wikidata
Andy, I know you have the ear of the Wikidata people- so you will be able to separate this little rant into the the correct Bugs:Instances:Muesli- and direct it/them and direct it at the correct people. I am chasing another time-consuming hare.
OK leave it there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ClemRutter (talk • contribs) 14:28, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- @ClemRutter: Sorry, but I don't know where to begin with this one. I've moved it to WP:VPT#Wikidata issue. Hope someone there can help you. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 17:37, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
ORCID
Hi saw a post on a wikimedia uk mailing list and have created an ORCHID entry for myself and added it to my wiki userpage, but I'm still trying to get my head around its usefulness. I don't do many biography articles but, if I do, how can I tell if that individual has an ORCHID number? - presumably you can't create one for someone else or that would remove the legitimacy wouldn't it?— Rod 16:43, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- @Rodw: Welcome to the club! No, you can't create one for them. But you could ask them, or check their website; or use the advanced search on the ORCID website. In the longer term, we'll be doing some work on the ORCID website to make it easier for people with Misplaced Pages bios to tell us they have both. Hi
Hi Andy! I'm a Wikipedian-in-Residence at the Metropolitan New York Library Council in New York. Just want to introduce myself and say that I look forward to meeting you at Wikimania. It looks like we both share a love of archives, and I'd be interested in hearing about your Residency at ORCHID. Feel free to email me at dhoward@metro.org for anything. OR drohowa (talk) 21:27, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- @OR drohowa: Thanks for dropping by. I look forward to meeting you, too. I have email enabled here, should you need to contact me. Looks like we share an interest in public art, too. Do you have an ORCID, yet? See WP:ORCID for details of how to add it to your user page. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 23:07, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
RFC for Template:Geographic reference
Hi Andy, because we were involved in this recent discussion involving a template with a number of citation references, I'd like your input at an RfC I've started regarding Template:Geographic reference which is another template in much more use that also contains citation references (as ref tags) but in a similar mindset as the Latin phrases references one. Thanks. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 22:18, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
