Barrington College, located at Barrington, Rhode Island, merged with Gordon College, in Wenham, Massachusetts, in the fall of 1985. Barrington College was founded in 1900 as the Bethel Bible Training School in Spencer, Massachusetts, and was later located in Dudley, Massachusetts. The college moved to the Barrington, Rhode Island, campus in 1959.
