Ranald MacDougall (10 March 1915, Schenectady, New York - 12 December 1973, Los Angeles, California) was a screenwriter who worked on such films as The Naked Jungle (1954), The Unsuspected (1947) and Mildred Pierce (1945).

He also was a film director who directed, among others, Joan Crawford, in Queen Bee (1955).

He was married to Nanette Fabray from 1957 until his death at the age of 58.

He was President of the Writers Guild of America, West (1971-1973).
