He is the Managing Director of Information TV Media network (ITV Media Pvt Ltd), one of India's fastest growing media companies which runs India News, NewsX and The Sunday Guardian. He is the promoter of the Hyatt Regency, Gurgaon and Hyatt Regency, Ludhiana, Hilton Hotel in Delhi and the Managing Director of renowned hospitality & industrial venture Piccadilly Group.

News media industry

Kartikeya Sharma launched the media verticals Good Morning India and Information TV Pvt. Ltd more than two years ago. It was his brainchild, which has put the business group in the limelight in the capital and in the Hindi heartland of Northern India.

Information TV also known as ITV media is the parent electronic media company which broadcasts a 24x7 National Hindi News Channel called India News.

In a bid to expand the network, ITV Media acquired a prominent English news channel NewsX (INX News Private Limited) and a leading 40 page weekly newspaper The Sunday Guardian in 2012. The company is having its own Teleport facility for the Up-linking of its satellite channels.

Under the leadership of Kartikeya Sharma, a new satellite channel India News Haryana was launched in September, 2009 and within four months; it became the No.1 channel in the state of Haryana. His latest product, India News Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand has firmly established itself in Uttar Pradesh.

NewsX

News X is English language Indian TV news channel. The network broadcasts 24-hour a day, all throughout the year. Considered to be the most unbiased network of the Indian journalism and has also been ranked on the first position for continuous 21 weeks.

Launched on March 28, 2008 by INX Network, NewsX is India’s first HDTV channel.

NewsX has substantial reach among the C&S SEC A and B audience across the country. The channel is available in over 80% of the homes in the top six metros – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. In addition, NewsX has a sizeable presence in several cities.

Rahul Shivshankar, formerly Executive Editor with Headlines Today, has joined NewsX as Managing Editor. Diptosh Majumdar, Ex-National Affairs Editor with CNN-IBN, has too joined NewsX as Managing Editor.

Good Morning India (GMI)

GMI is the print division which publishes a daily Hindi Newspaper called Aaj Samaaj with a total circulation of 3,00,000 copies a day. It is published from Delhi, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Ambala, Panchkula, Mohali and is in the process of launching multiple editions of this newspaper all over Northern India. The ITV group's Aaj Samaj newspaper was launched in 2007 and is now one of the leading news dailies in north India.

The second product of GMI is India News weekly magazine which is a political and social affairs magazine in Hindi with a readership base of 78,000, the second largest circulating weekly Hindi magazine in India.

Piccadily Group of Companies

Kartikeya Sharma in 2004 took over as Managing Director of hospitality venture Piccadily Group.
