Grigoriy Mihaylovich Naginskiy (born June 16, 1958 in Orsk, Orenburg Oblast, is a Russian statesman, Candidate of Sciences. Senator – member of Federation Council, member of Industrial Policy Committee and Commission in natural monopolies.

Biography

Education

Ural Polytechnic University (1980), with a specialization as “Heat and Power Engineer”. Candidate in Economic Sciences.

Career

  • In 1980 began his career as an Engineer of Installation and Construction Directorate – 90 and passed his professional way up to Deputy Chief Engineer.
  • In 1987 managed the complex of repair works at the 4th power generating unit at Chernobyl NPP after the accident in 1986
  • Since 1992 deputy General Director of Installation and Construction Directorate – 90.
  • In 1995 initiated the integration of a range of enterprises of Sosnoviy Bor in a single holding, at the same year became the Board Chairman of Holding CONCERN TITAN-2.
  • Since 1996 — Vice-President of Public Associations “Soyuz Chernobul — Sosnoviy Bor” and President of NNO “Federation of Judo in Sosnoviy Bor”.
  • Since 1999 began his career in Politics. Occupied several positions in different Committees of Legislative Assembly in Leningrad region.
  • During 2003-2011 a member of Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russian Federation.
  • In 2010 was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russian Federation.
  • Since April 2011 appointed as the Head of Federal Special Construction Agency

Awards

  • Order of Courage for the strong spirit and self-sacrificing during the activity in Chernobyl NPP accident consequences elimination.
  • Honored Builder of Russian Federation for the merits in construction and for the longstanding and dedicated work.
