Birds

I once heard a tale about this leader:apparently he had a residence that was guarded by agressive birds. Is there any truth to this? If so, is it worth including? Evilbu 11:48, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

I couldn't find anything about it. I wonder if you could train birds to be guards? I bet those birds would have risen up against Duvalier too. MorrisGregorian 09:21, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Sources

I've added an unreferenced template to this page. Though there is one published reference listed at the bottom, there is an awful lot of controversial and potentially POV material in this article, and proper footnotes are definitely needed. -- TinaSparkle 11:41, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

The article is mostly copied from the Library of Congress country study on Haiti. Since it's in the public domain, I just pasted it to this article. I don't know where they got their info, but I'm going to assume the Library of Congress is a reputable source. Since it was mostly copied I wasn't sure how to footnote it - it seemed like it would have gotten excessive. MorrisGregorian 22:07, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

There's a lot of interesting unsourced material about PEPPADEP in here. While it would be good to keep it in if possible, I've tried to get information to support this section and come up blank. Unless someone can source this material I'm going to delete all unsupported information in this section.Flyte35 (talk) 22:18, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Granddaughter?

"Veronique Roy is the *absolutely not* granddaughter of..." This is a recent modification from an unnamed contributor. Are there anyone else with any support for this altered claim? Supermagle 18:47, 12 August 2007 (UTC) VERONIQUE ROY is not the Granddaughter of Paul Magloire. She doesn't have any haitian roots. Misplaced Pages is a reference web site read by millions of people. Please do not use fake information. PLEASE BE ADVISE. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.113.197.181 (talk) 20:22, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

He's back but why?

Has he announced any business or political plans? Is it merely a family home visit? 75.41.110.200 (talk) 15:43, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

May have been a way to try and get access to the money he's got in Switzerland. See: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/21/world/americas/21haiti.html?_r=1&ref=gingerthompson.Flyte35 (talk) 00:50, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

VERONIQUE ROY is not PAUL MAGLOIRE GRANDDAUGHTER

She doesn't have any Haitian ROOTS. and she is not the Granddaughter of Paul Magloire. She is not even married to Jean Claude Duvalier as she wanted to be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.113.197.181 (talk) 20:35, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
