But here's what you ''can'' do: challenge the reliability of the sources or provide evidence that those sources represented here are an extreme minority. The biggest problem about your approach is you're just ''doing it'' -- removing them, leaving no room for questions or discussion. Since Misplaced Pages operates according to ] first and foremost, you'll have a hard time getting anyone to take the merit of your arguments seriously by doing that in the face of cited sources (see ]). Regardless of which path you choose, I would recommend opening a discussion on the article's talk page here: ]. As more of a Wikipedian than metal fan, my only concern is that sources verify arguments and consensus supports major changes (i.e. I wouldn't be involved in the talk page discussion unless it had to do with these issues -- I don't have a dog in the viking metal or not fight). --— <tt>] ]</tt> \\ 15:42, 5 October 2014 (UTC) | But here's what you ''can'' do: challenge the reliability of the sources or provide evidence that those sources represented here are an extreme minority. How WP works
You appear to have recently been editing a significant number of the rock and metal genre articles. The immediate thing that is apparent is that you have yet to provide a source for any of your edits. Could you please refrain from editing these articles, which can be contentious at the best of times, based on your opinions, but restrict them to verifiable information that you can back up with reliable sources. Thank you. Also, it would be helpful if you could create a username, so we can track who is making which particular edits. Thanks again, Blackmetalbaz (talk) 18:19, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hello and welcome to Misplaced Pages. When you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:01, 29 August 2014 (UTC)

Regarding List of Viking metal bands
Please stop removing bands which have sources validating their inclusion cited. In order to maintain a neutral point of view, Misplaced Pages disallows any original research, which means your evaluation of the band does not count as much as sources that call them viking metal. Verifiability, not objectivity or truth, takes precedence on Misplaced Pages (because people disagree on objectivity and truth).
But here's what you can do: challenge the reliability of the sources or provide evidence that those sources represented here are an extreme minority. The biggest problem about your approach is you're just doing it -- removing them, leaving no room for questions or discussion. Since Misplaced Pages operates according to consensus first and foremost, you'll have a hard time getting anyone to take the merit of your arguments seriously by doing that in the face of cited sources (see WP:BRD). Regardless of which path you choose, I would recommend opening a discussion on the article's talk page here: Talk:List of Viking metal bands. As more of a Wikipedian than metal fan, my only concern is that sources verify arguments and consensus supports major changes (i.e. I wouldn't be involved in the talk page discussion unless it had to do with these issues -- I don't have a dog in the viking metal or not fight). --— Rhododendrites \\ 15:42, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
