Francs2000's BureaucratshipThanks for your support on my request for bureaucratship.
The final outcome was (70/5/0), so I am now a bureaucrat. I seriously didn't expect so many good comments from everybody and I appreciated the constructive criticism from those that gave it. If you have any queries, suggestions or problems with any of my actions as a bureaucrat then please leave me a note. -- Francs2000 22:07, 9 January 2006 (UTC)My RfA
I'm hoping I can maybe get you to rethink your oppose vote. Derex' comment in the "Comment" section of the RfA is on-point here. Basically, I agree it was a beginner's mistake (made a long time ago) to copy the original version of the David Mertz article from another Wiki (I did not write it, despite a bunch of mischaracterizations of this); but even then, I did it to fix redlinks, since I was mentioned in several other articles prior to that (for my computer programming writing). Nonetheless, the article overwhelmingly survived AfD (twice, the second time with no argument for delete ever made other than WP:AUTO; i.e. no claim on non-notability, and no claim I had ever made a POV or unverifiable edit on the page). Succesful RfA!
Thank you for your support during my RfA! The community has decided to make me an administrator, and there's work to be done. I look forward to seeing you around the project in the future, and if you see me do anything dumb, let me know right away! Regards, CHAIRBOY (☎) 23:31, 27 January 2006 (UTC) |
Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to vote in my RfA, and for your kind comment there. The RfA passed with a final vote of 54/2/1 despite my obvious inadequacy for the job. I'll do my level best to use the mop and bucket — or, as I said in my RfA, plunger — responsibly. Of course, in the best tradition of politicans everywhere, I've already broken a campaign promise (I blocked a vandal last night despite having said "I don't anticipate using the blocking tool very often"). Nevertheless, I'll try not to let the unbridled power corrupt me. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 19:43, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

My RfA
Thanks for voting! Although this is a bit late in coming, I want to thank you for voting (no matter what your vote was) in my recent request for adminship. You might be aware that it did not pass due to a lack of consensus. The final tally was 21/9/10. I think I will try again this spring or summer after I have gained a bit more experience and met a few more fellow editors. Thanks again! |

Thanks for your voting!
Hi, thanks for your voting on my RFA. It has finished with the result 88/14/9, and I am promoted. I am really overwhelmed with the amount of support I have got. With some of you we have edited many articles as a team, with some I had bitter arguments in the past, some of you I consider to be living legends of Misplaced Pages and some nicks I in my ignorance never heard before. I love you all and I am really grateful to you.
If you feel I can help you or Misplaced Pages as a human, as an editor or with my newly acquired cleaning tools, then just ask and I will be happy to assist. If you will feel that I do not live up to your expectation and renegade on my promises, please contact me. Maybe it was not a malice but just ignorance or a short temper. Thank you very much, once more! abakharev 07:34, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Regarding my RFA
The reason that I only have March on may talk page is because the previous months are archived. They are available here and here. Thanks Naconkantari e|t||c|m 20:35, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
My RfA
Hi Thumbelina. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to consider my RfA, which passed this morning. Admins are sort of like vultures, cleaning things up and whatnot... well, as long as you don't think too much about it. If there's ever anything I can help you with, just ask; you know where to find me. ×Meegs 10:28, 11 March 2006 (UTC) |
My RfA

My RFA
Thank you for your recent vote on my RFA. While the nomination failed, I was rather expecting it due to the big lapse between registration and recent edits. I appreciate the comments you left when you voted, and I will definitely keep them in mind. If you have any other suggestions as to how I could improve as a Wikipedian, so as to hopefully succeed next time, please let me know! Thanks! —akghetto 07:56, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi Thumbelina! Thank you for supporting my RfA and for the kind words. The RfA passed at 105/1/0, putting me in WP:100 - I'm delighted and surprised! RfA Results and Thanks
Thumbelina, thank you for supporting me in my recent RfA. Although it did not succeed as no consensus was declared (final: 65/29/7), I know that there is always an opportunity to request adminship again. If and when that day comes, I hope you will once again support me. If at any time I make any mistakes or if you would like to comment on my contributions to Misplaced Pages, you are more than welcome to do so. Regardless of your religious, cultural, and personal beliefs, I pray that whatever and whoever motivates you in life continues to guide you on the most righteous path. |
My (HereToHelp’s) RfA
Thank you for supporting my RfA. I’m proud to inform you that it passed with 75 support to 1 oppose to 2 neutral. I promise to make some great edits in the future (with edit summaries!) and use these powers to do all that I can to help. After all, that’s what I’m here for! User notice: temporary 3RR block
====Regarding reversions made on May 2 2006 (UTC) to Spring_holiday ====
You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future. The duration of the block is 3 hours. William M. Connolley 18:32, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Dear Thumbelina,
- Thanks for voting on my RFA! I appreciate your faith in me, and was overwhelmed by the positive response to my RFA; for it shows that at least I'm doing something right. :) I've started working to improve myself already, and I hope that next time, things run better, and maybe, just maybe, one day we can bask on the shores of Admintopia together. Thanks and cheers, _-M o P-_ 21:56, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Spring holiday
I suggest that you join discussion at Talk:Spring holiday and make an attempt at verifying your constant addition of undiscussed materials to the article, rather than starting an edit war. Discussion has already been initiated there. — CRAZY`(IN)`SANE 18:29, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
I've just responded to a Request for comment on this page. I hope you'll join in any further discussions involving this article so everyone's issues can be addressed properly without further need for edit/revert wars. Thanks! B.Mearns, KSC 20:07, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Category:Gay icons
Hi there - I've listed the page you made Category:Gay icons for deletion. The previous category for Gay icons was deleted, so there is no point in this one continuing. No offence intended towards you. - LBM 23:22, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Your inappropriate edit
I refer to your highly inappropriate comment, placed in the wrong place at the wrong time. I did not blindly revert. I have made many comments on the talk page explaining quite carefully why the Crayola link was inappropriate, including immediately (within 2 minutes) after the latest roll back . Please provide an appropriate source or I will continue to roll back any edit you make reintroducing Passover and Hannukah into the article without further comment (within the scope of the 3rr policy). I feel I have explained adequately several times what an appropriate source would be. Suggesting I, or any other editor, google is outside the guidlelines on Misplaced Pages:Citing sources--A Y Arktos\ 23:35, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- There are several sources on that page, and I asked you to do a google search to get more if you like, but instead you would rather have the page remain a POV screed. My comment on your suitability to be an admin is most germaine. Thumbelina 13:00, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- The word I think you are looking for is germane. You may comment on whether or not I am suitable to be an admin, but not on a vote that has long finished: note the tag at the top stating The following discussion is preserved as an archive of a successful request for adminship. Please do not modify it.! Wrong place, wrong time, inappropriate. The sources you provided at Spring Holiday were inappropriate too - see the talk at Spring Holiday - I have commented on each of them. --A Y Arktos\ 22:19, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Sukh's RFA - Thanks!
Thank you for your vote on my RfA. Unfortunately there was no consensus reached at 43 support, 18 oppose and 8 neutral. I've just found out that there is a feature in "my preferences" that forces me to use edit summaries. I've now got it enabled :) Thanks again. Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 15:47, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
EWS23's RfA
Hi Thumbelina! Thank you very much for supporting my request for adminship. It was great to hear that someone considered me "a nice bloke" (though, as a native of American English, I'm not entirely sure I've used the word "bloke" before). :o) Thanks again, and feel free to leave me a message if you ever see something I could be doing better. Proposed change to MOS/Biography
I have proposed a change/clarification in the handling of royal honorifics at the MOS (biographies) page to state that honorifics should not be used inline (but should be mentioned) for royalty. Please comment at the link above. Thanks. --Improv 14:51, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Take your own medicine and please learn about wikipedia policy re: honorifics
Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you.
- You yourself have reverted four times in the last 24 hours. I don't want your hypocrisy cluttering up my user page. You aren't an uninvolved admin and have no right to reproach me. I strongly suggest you go back to editing Ellen Degeneres, and leave this alone, because you are really barking up the wrong tree with this article. Policy is on my side, not your POV. ፈቃደ (ውይይት) 17:33, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Editing against consensus
Have you bothered to read the talk page of the article? Guettarda 17:32, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, though some people keep trying to blank or delete it. There is no consensus to hide Lloréns-Sar's name. Thumbelina 17:34, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, so you realise that your edit summary is false, much like your edit summary earlier this morning. So you make a habit of posting false edit summaries? Well, it's time you stop. Guettarda 17:39, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Nothing is false, except the "consensus" you falsely pretend exists to censor Misplaced Pages for the protection of liberals. Thumbelina 17:51, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
