Welcome
Welcome to the IE WikiProject. While I was born and grew up in the IE, I did not join the Project until recently. My edits have been focused on the desert in Riverside County because I'm retiring in that area. I hope you can make many improvements to IE articles. Thanks. --S. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sky Valley Washington, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Great Northern Railway (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Renamed
Hey, TheGGoose, I've renamed this account, per your request. Please be sure to use this as your username going forward! Also note that the rename has decoupled your account from your SUL account for other projects; if you want to be able to use SUL in conjunction with your new username, you'll have to log into your old account on those other projects where you've edited and request a rename there, too. Thanks, and happy editing! Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 09:09, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

Sony Pictures Television
"Intricate detail" refers to the Shows produced and/or distributed by SPT section. Listing nearly every show SPT has been involved in is beyond the scope of a general encyclopedia article. Trivialist (talk) 16:54, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for the comment. I tried to resolve this issue back in February by reducing the list to only shows that SPT initially produced or continues to produce, but it was ultimately reverted. It seems I should have proposed the edits with other users. TheGGoose (talk) 17:03, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

How can I remove the unnecessary italics in the Jiří Korn article? "His single Yvetta (1972), written by Karel Svoboda, became his first solo hit. In 1977 and 1978, Korn was 3rd and 2nd place"

WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages
Thank you for your recent articles, including Jacek i Agatka, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Misplaced Pages:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 21:09, 7 July 2014 (UTC) |
- Yes, because I added them :) I also changed the Film to TV, you are right it's better. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 16:03, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

On the Columbia Pictures article, it's stated in the introduction sentence that the topic is a "film production & distribution studio," which is under a single wikilink. "Distribution studio" could probably link to film distributor; if it's right, can you undo the edit (it's recent) that did this and/or justify the wikilinks? Thanks.
TheGGoose (talk) 23:07, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
- Apparently an editor updated the description of the link without changing the target. I have split the link and turned it into two pointing to both "film studio" and "film distributor". Huon (talk) 23:50, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

Robert Barefoot
I got your message. Do you often get "disturbed" when someone reverts one of your edits? That's a pretty old edit, so why the concern now? Are you in doubt that he's a "controversial" person? The content of the article makes it plain that he is, so your removal of that word was a clear violation of NPOV, and that's why I undid your removal. We don't remove words because they aren't "neutral", if the sources back up the description. He has been labeled a "huckster", and everything in RS seems to indicate that is an accurate description. I'm surprised he isn't sitting in jail with his buddy Kevin Trudeau. -- Brangifer (talk) 03:41, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
- The truth is, I didn't know better on NPOV and I cannot stop overreacting reverts. How can I fix that? TheGGoose (talk) 04:02, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
- It's the nature of Misplaced Pages and has to do with ownership feelings. We don't own content or our edits. Sure, we care about our edits and the content we create, but we shouldn't care too much. -- Brangifer (talk) 04:47, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
- @BullRangifer:"...so your removal of that word was a clear violation of NPOV..." Not meant to attack at all, but I can't believe I'm accused of a horrendous act on Misplaced Pages. I DON'T side with Robert Barefoot, I was getting depressed here over a mistake and revert that's kept in record and history right here on Misplaced Pages.
