Zeta Interactive Corporation is an international internet marketing firm founded in 2007. The privately owned company's headquarters are in New York City, and the firm has an Indian division headquartered in Hyderabad. Founded by David A. Steinberg and John Sculley, Zeta is a big data marketing firm. The company's set of Data, Email, Social, Search and Mobile solutions are used by various Middle Market and Fortune 500 brands. With over 500 employees worldwide, the NYC based company also has offices in Tampa, FL, London, Bristol, UK and Hyderabad, India.
The company published notable yearly World Wide Web "buzz" rankings of online advertisements based on analyses of web chatter. Zeta International was initially formed when Zustek Corporation, an Email marketing firm, acquired Adverb Media, a digital marketing company, then changed its name to Zeta Interactive Corporation.
In January 2014, Zeta announced a corporate re-brand, bringing together the resources of the data firm XL Marketing, also founded by Steinberg, and creating a firm that focuses on big data, customer acquisition, and Customer Relationship Management solutions.
In 2014, Forbes Magazine named Zeta Interactive as one of "America's Most Promising Companies."
The current CEO is David A. Steinberg.
On January 30, 2014, Zeta Interactive hosted a forum on the changes in advertising and marketing over the years, using Apple's 1984 commercial as a benchmark. Sculley shared the panel with advertising executive David Sable, Global CEO of Young & Rubicam; Jessica Gelman, Vice President of Customer Marketing & Strategy; The Kraft Group—the owners of the New England Patriots; and Hooman Radfar, Chairman and Co-Founder of marketing firm AddThis.
