A Social Justice Warrior or Social Justice Blogger is an online activist, usually a young liberal American woman who "uses social justice issues like sexism, homophobia, etc. to push a political agenda".

SJWs believe that media should be censored to impact the ongoing cultural discourse and strongly advocate for the theory of white privilege.

SJWs have been know to doxx those that they disagree with and have been responsible for a handful of firings.

Tumblr and Twitter are the dominant SJW media outlets.

Though in regular online use by 2012, the term gained widespread media usage during the late 2014 Gamergate controversy.
