Set in 2027 where no human child has been born for 18 years and science is at a loss to explain, Children of Men envisages a world that's fallen into anarchy and chaos as humankind faces the threat of its own extinction. This threat is made all the more real with the death of the world's youngest citizen. The discovery of a miraculously pregnant woman named Kee leads Theo Faron, a disillusioned ex-activist turned bureaucrat, to undertake a journey to ensure the safety of the woman - a journey where he will face his demons and try to restore faith in the future of humanity. |
