Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) is an engineering college located in Gunupur, in the state of Odisha, India. It was established in 1997 with the approval of AICTE and Government of Odisha affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology. It has applied for deemed university status since the last 10 years. GIET was an ISO 9000:2000 Certified institute for quality education.

The institute had NBA Accreditation, which had accredited only 5% of the engineering colleges of the country on the basis of their education and infrastructure in 2004, and also accredited by NAAC "A" certificate. GIET had achieved NBA Accreditation for five B.Tech courses - Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology.

Academics

GIET offers 11 undergraduate B.Tech and eight postgraduate M.Tech programmes. Admission is through the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE).
