January 2015
When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to John Fogerty, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:
- If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
- If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
- If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;
If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Binksternet (talk) 06:18, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Hoodoo (John Fogerty album). Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 06:24, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to John Fogerty. This contravenes Misplaced Pages's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Binksternet (talk) 02:00, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
- I understand that you've taken private 'ownership' of John Fogerty's entries, but pls stop vandalizing legitimate info added. First you delete references (claiming a set-list from Glastonbury is "copyrighted" and cannot be ref'd to), then claim additions are "unsourced" - that's just plain obstructiveness. 88.88.36.157 (talk) 02:19, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Misplaced Pages, as you did at John Fogerty. MarnetteD|Talk 05:16, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
