Hello Rswallis10, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. Your addition to Sean Saves the World has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Misplaced Pages, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Replaceable fair use File:Samantha Isler.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Samantha Isler.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Misplaced Pages. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  21:03, 5 April 2014 (UTC)

Please do not add redundant content to articles, as you did at List of Two and a Half Men episodes. Empty table rows and sections that do not expand on the article lead serve no encyclopaedic purpose. --AussieLegend () 20:35, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to List of The Big Bang Theory episodes. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. AussieLegend () 20:36, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

"Series Overviews"

You haven't won the war, but I'm tired of fighting and usually don't care about one-seasoners days, weeks, or months when they're done. But it's still foolish to have them, according to your standards, as well as a certain image issue you're aware of. — Wyliepedia 23:50, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at List of The Big Bang Theory episodes. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Misplaced Pages this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Misplaced Pages is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. AussieLegend () 03:58, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

Being "more colorful" is not a valid reason to replace the image of an intertitle with a different image. We normally use the intertitle in TV series articles and it's not appropriate to replace intertitles with other images unless they are a free equivalent. --AussieLegend () 04:03, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

Edit-warring

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at List of Two and a Half Men episodes shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. AussieLegend () 04:14, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

Since you are clearly not getting the message, the article lead is supposed to summarise significant aspects of the article. Season renewals are regarded to be significant so they should be mentioned in the lead. Typically, renewal mentions consist of a single, cited sentence. Because of their brevity, they are not normally duplicated elsewhere in the article as this is pointless duplication and serves no encyclopaedic purpose. That means that we don't need to create a section for the next season unless it substantially expands on what is already in the lead. This applies equally to the series overview table. A table row with only a link to a section that shouldn't exist and maybe an episode count doesn't serve any encyclopaedic purpose as it doesn't significantly expand on what is already in the lead. Where a separate season section can be justified, years are not included until there are actually episodes scheduled to air. A renewal notice does not guarantee that episodes will air in a particular year. An examples of this is Hotel Hell, which was renewed in 2012 but did not air any episodes in 2012 or 2013. Episodes have only just been scheduled to air in 2014, 2 years after the renewal. There are many things that can happen between when a series is renewed and when episodes do air. Two and a Half Men was expected to air for a full season in 2010-11 but production was halted twice and the season ended nearly three months before it was expected to end. The Playboy Club, Last Resort and Alcatraz were all expected to air for full seasons but were cancelled during their first season, The Playboy Club after only 3 episodes had aired and while several more were scheduled to air. Because of the uncertainty regarding TV series, including years in the section heading when episodes have not been scheduled to air is widely considered to be WP:CRYSTAL and we do not add years because of this. Also unnecessary are series overview tables for series that are still airing their first season. When there are multiple seasons these tables serve a purpose but where they only link to a single season, there is no encyclopaedic pupose. I'm pinging CAWylie, Davejohnsan, Favre1fan93, IronGargoyle and Ratemonth as a courtesy. These are all editors with whom you have edit-warred and the fact that there are multiple editors who have reverted you at multiple articles should be a good indicator to you that you have not been editing in accordance with our policies, guidelines and/or consensus. --AussieLegend () 05:13, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.   the panda ₯’ 10:18, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Crisis TV Series.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Crisis TV Series.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. AussieLegend () 09:46, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

Please note that replacing free content with non-free content, as you did at Crisis (TV series), is a violation of our non-free content policy. Per criteria #1 of the policy, non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose. Also note that the file you uploaded today does not comply with the non-free content policy. Images should be low resolution. Typically, for infobox images this means a width of around 270px or smaller should be uploaded. Non-free use rationales should be fully compliant. Filling fields with "n.a." (or ignoring them completely) is inappropriate. Normally, we use titlecards for infobox images, not logos. You previously edit-warred over use of the image that you uploaded today at File:2014 Crisis NBC.jpg when it was confirmed that your image was not the titlecard. As the titlecard for this series is free and the logo is not, there is no reason why the titlecard should be replaced with a logo. --AussieLegend () 10:03, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Undateable Logo.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Undateable Logo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Misplaced Pages (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Crisis (TV series). Your edits have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Misplaced Pages's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Misplaced Pages's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. AussieLegend () 18:44, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

You have been warned about replacing free content with non-free content above and you were recently blocked for edit-warring. Despite your claim that you "just don't care", you should care. If you persist in edit-warring and replacing free content with non-free content you will likely be blocked again, and for a longer period this time. As I have explained above, we use intertitles not logos in TV series infoboxes. Even disregarding that, free content should not be replaced with non-free content. --AussieLegend () 18:50, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Undateable, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. AussieLegend () 19:13, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

Indentation and signing posts

Hi Rswallis10,

I've noticed that you typically don't sign your talk page posts or use indentation. This is something that new users to Misplaced Pages often do simply because they are unfamiliar with how Misplaced Pages works. I suggest you take a look at Misplaced Pages's talk page guidelines just to familiarize yourself with good practices regarding talk page usage. For some editors, such as myself, this kind of thing is minor annoyance, but there are others see it as being kind of disruptive, especially when the "offending" editor is not a newbie, and not really conducive to fruitful discussion. This message is just meant as a friendly heads up just in case you didn't notice what you were doing. - Marchjuly (talk) 01:01, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
