Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica, also known as UNEM , Business University of Costa Rica or Entrepreneurial University of Costa Rica, is a private university in the city of San José, Costa Rica. History

UNEM began its operation in 1992 as the International Post-Graduate School in affiliation with the University of San Jose. In 1997 the International Postgraduate School has been taken the authorization and accreditation of the Costa Rican government to become the Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica.

UNEM is authorized and accredited by CONESUP (the National Council of Private Universities) for undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Business Administration, and Master's degrees in Business Administration.

This university is listed in the International Association of Universities Directory of Higher Education and International Handbook of Universities (where it is listed as the Business University of Costa Rica).
