Hello, | |||
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See ] for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Serenity. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Serenity~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can ]. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit ] to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.

User:Serinity
Is this the same editor as user:Serinity? It appears so. Please use only one or the other account on a topic. Using two different accounts on the same topic is a violation of WP:SOCK, and could result in the blocking of one or both accounts. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 20:59, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Question re: multiple accounts
Hello. There are quite a few related accounts being used improperly at the John Lott article and a handful of others. Could I ask you to clarify whether you have any relationship to any of the following accounts which would violate our sockpuppetry and proxy-editing policies:
- Naaman Brown (talk · contribs)
- Serinity (talk · contribs)
- Researcher33 (talk · contribs)
- ProudOneX (talk · contribs)
- LuckyBowler (talk · contribs)
- Oldlawprof (talk · contribs)
- BobH63 (talk · contribs)
- TomSH81 (talk · contribs)
- ThomasWinter (talk · contribs)
- Youngturk2 (talk · contribs)
If you prefer to discuss this more privately, feel free to email me. If you're not connected, then I apologize for bothering you with the question, but I'm just working on matching up our technical evidence with the articles' editing histories. Thanks. MastCell 18:41, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Usage vs. long, verbatim quotes in John Lott
This addition to the John Lott article appears to quote verbatim from an article written by Lott and published in the Washington Times . We simply can't do that here. WhyDoIKeepForgetting (talk) 08:30, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Serenity. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Serenity~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
