Will someone please add full protection to the Derek Smart page please? For many months now it has been the target of edit waring and it doesn't seem to be getting any better; especially with the anons. Semi-protection: new and anonymous users are set on reverting this article to a completely inappropriate, non-neutral version. I edited and posted my comments on the talk page, but there is no apparent desire to constructively deal with the problems. Full protection. The article is a battlefield for people quarrelling over his nationality. As long as everyone stayed cool and civil, adding new info to the article, it was all nice and fine. However, lately the war (I'm taking part in, BTW) has reached the stage where people remove sources from the article when they do not confirm their views, which is not the right thing to do. Yes this page should be protected. Especially that Masulis part, until Hallibutt provides and cites verifyable scientific article on that matter. Because now its Hallibutts POV v cited source and scientific interpetation of that source.Encyclopaedia Editing Dude 09:52, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

I am somewhat familiar on who Jeffree Star is and I'm not a fan, and I know he is bizarre and strange and deemed obscene, and labeled a "media whore" and "attention whore" but there should at least be an article about him. There are curious people who might want to know who he is. He has over a million fans, and has been a phenomeon on MySpace, and will become a signed musician. There are some comparable people that are controversial such as Paris Hilton, Marilyn Manson, Tila Tequila (also a MySpace phenomeon), and many others that have Misplaced Pages articles.

So the doubts of many wiki user that use this page for vandalism are groundless because the official document states she was daughter of the king. So she is a real pretender. Please delete in this page the link to "impostor pretender" because this affirmation is false. And please so stop with this protection and in this page write only official and objective documented facts and not doubts or personal opinion because this is a encyclopedia and not a talk page. It looks like a regular content dispute to me, Xuanwu, and we can't use sprotect in such cases, because it puts the anon at a disadvantage. He may actually be right about the image. I'm not sure you can claim fair use for a Simpsons image on an article that's not about the Simpsons (though I'm no fair-use expert, so I could be wrong). SlimVirgin 07:47, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

According to my review of its history, this remplate has never been vandalized. At one point, an anonymous user added some links under the "baptist doctrine" section that User:Diezba felt were unwarrented (I haven't studied the matter), but this was certainly not vandalism. As the semi-protection policy states that it should not be used preemptively (pace Bush), then I propose that this template lose semi-protect status. --Zantastik talk 20:14, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

• Agree - I took a look at the edits and although I think they made the template too long, they certainly weren't vandalism. Also, Misplaced Pages:Protection policy says that you should not revert to your version and protect. BigDT 01:45, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Semi-protection I request a semi-protection of this article as one anonymous user uses many IP accounts to make personal attacks, and to add unsourced and controversial statements to the Kosovo War article. Attemts to have a civil debate based on sourced information have failed. A long term semi-protection would force that user to register, so he could be instructed about the rules of Misplaced Pages by me and by other wikipedians.
