The short distance from Drama, half an hour for Nevrokopi and one hour for the birch tree forest in Mikromilia, helps the kind of tourism, which is quite different from the established type of holidays. Another way to reach Nevrokopi is the road from Serres from where after a journey of an hour in a mountainous and woody environment, the visitor arrives at Nevrokopi. The extensive net of forest paths as well as the European Path E6, which crosses the Prefecture, assures the pleasure of the walker-traveller and his immediate contact with nature in its grandeur. In the near future, at the Greek-Bulgarian borders at the passage of Exohi, a customhouse will be opened. | |||
