Chigwell School is an English public school in the county of Essex, south-east England. It was founded by Samuel Harsnett in 1629. Pupils are aged between 7 and 18 years. Selection is by examination and interview. Some pupils choose to board. William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania, was educated there.
The school motto is aut viam inveniam aut faciam, a Latin phrase which translates as Find a way or make a way.
