You asked me to contact you about a proposed speedy deletion of the above article if I had any questions. I certainly do. The first is: What does a man have to do to qualify in your world to be notable? In most peoples's world being head of Charterhouse, Dean of Peterborough and a Fellow of the Royal Society is more than enough- in fact any one of those would suffice. The second is: are you new to this or just having a bad day? Plucas58 (talk) 18:20, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Misplaced Pages. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date. Please carefully read this information:
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to, (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing.
