Connectivity to Surrounding Cities
A substantial population of Faridabad commutes to either Delhi, Gurgaon or NOIDA on a daily basis for work or higher education.
To Delhi
As far as public transport is concerned- there is a regular EMU (train) service, along with Public Bus service (DTC, Haryana Roadways) available for traveling from Faridabad to Delhi. Though there are plans to extend the Metro project from Delhi to NOIDA, none are in the picture for Faridabad till date.
There are private chartered buses connecting Faridabad to various points in Delhi. A cheap & popular mode of transport that is also used for travel along the NH-2 is the autorickshaw. They are quite old, noisy & very polluting. (Faridabad's air is very polluted and vehicular pollution contributes to a great extent)
There are two possible routes for traveling from Faridabad to New Delhi. One along the NH2, through the congested Badarpur Border. The other through the ridge road next to Surajkund (this route is not open for large commercial vehicles). The latter route is more suitable when traveling to South Delhi. In the recent years, some schools & a higher education institute has been opened on this road.
To Gurgaon
There are two routes from Faridabad to Gurgaon. One through Delhi (Mehrauli-Badarpur Road) and the other, which is a direct access road that passes through the Crusher zone and near the TERI institute. This road used to be very bad, full of pot holes etc, however it has been upgraded in the last year. It is still a hard route to travel due to overloaded dumper trucks and speeding vehicles. There have been many severe accidents recently.
To NOIDA
There is a public Bus Service available from Faridabad to NOIDA.

Real Estate Sector
Faridabad has great potential for real estate development especially due its unique geographical location which provide easy access to all prominent places in NCR viz., South Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Greater Noida. Though real estate development is happening all over Faridabad but the area which has potential for development of world-class facilities is Greater Faridabad or Neharpar. The real estate sector in Greater Faridabad is booming and will be going to be very promising in future. Greater Faridabad is much more affordable and at the same time superior in several factors The facilities being provided in the residential complexes are of international standards including lavish gardens, covered parking, podiums, sports and recreational facilities, health complexes, business centers, clubs, swimming pools to name a few. One of the main advantages of residential complexes in Greater Faridabad over Noida and Greater Noida is the nature of ownership.-- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 08:46, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
Merge
The list should be merged to this article since all the schools and colleges are there in this article as well. Further non-notable institutions should be deleted from this article after merger. -- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 12:33, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
- Your proposal does not include which "List" - I assume you mean List of education facilities in Faridabad - In which case:-
Oppose - I agree there is duplication, but, rather than merging them, leaving a disproportionately long list in this article, the schools and colleges should be removed from this page, leaving the redirect to the "list article" and a brief comment on education in general, but not listing any schools or colleges, or they will start to creep back into this article again. - Arjayay (talk) 14:25, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
