Jeff Gerstmann (born August 1975) is a senior editor at popular gaming website GameSpot. He began working at GameSpot in the fall of 1996, around the launch of VideoGameSpot (back when GameSpot seperated PC and console games into completely seperate entities).

As well as his normal editorial duties, Jeff serves as the creative consultant and star of the hit GameSpot sci-fi web series Time Trotters, which is currently on hiatus. He is also a founding member of the bands Headboard, The Suburban All-Stars, and Midnight Brown. Additionally, Gerstmann's vocal stylings can be heard on the theme songs for both Time Trotters and GameSpot's game show, Button Mashing. Gerstmann also appeared on ABC's Good Morning America as a guest in September 1999 to discuss the launch of Sega's Dreamcast gaming console.

He obtained his own (now defunct) newsgroup at alt.sports.gerstmann, which housed several crossposts from alt.religion.kibology. It was believed to be created in or around 1994 by Usenet icon, Tjames Madison.
