:I commented on his talk page because this user mentioned me on WP:AE. We do not know if the user was actually banned, and he has right for privacy. If he were a sockpuppet account of a banned user (as confirmed by checkuser), that would be very different. Given that, I think the indefinite block was excessive. Simply giving him a warning that undisclosed secondary accounts should not participate in community discussions per WP:SOCK (this is something he apparently does not know) would be sufficient, in my opinion. You probably assume per WP:DUCK that he/she previously edited in the same (EE) subject area and returned back to create the trouble - hence the block. But I do not recognize this user and assume he/she is telling the truth that they did not edit in this subject area...
