Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Social work, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 09:03, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Social work, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 09:07, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
Verifiability
Adding references is how we ensure that content is correct. Without references, there is no presumption of accuracy. Please help make Misplaced Pages wp:verifiable. Please wp:cite your edits with wp:reliable sources. See Help:Citation Style 1 An example: Steve Jobs (1955-2006)<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.cnn.com/1234 |title=Steve Jobs obituary |author= Walter Green |work= ] |date= November 15, 2006 |accessdate= February 2016}}</ref> which generates: Steve Jobs (1955-2006) with the footnote automatically added to the References section ({{reflist}}
needed). Remember, unsourced content may be removed. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 09:08, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Where?
Does it say "A person who practices social work with a Bachelor's, Master's (MSW), and/or a Doctorate degree in Social Work is called a social worker."? Try dictionary.com: Social work: noun 1. organized work directed toward the betterment of social conditions in the community, as by seeking to improve the condition of the poor, to promote the welfare of children, etc. No mention of degree. If you do social work, whether or not you have a degree, you are a social worker. It might be best to have one, but it is not required to be a "social worker". Jim1138 (talk) 09:22, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
- I understand your confusion. This is one of the misguided notion about social work. The content of this articles relies on Professional Social Work, and requirements are mentioned in every countries specific associations. Alms giving was the origin form of Social Work in U.K and India, this can be considered as social work and definition fits, but now it is considered as social service and not social work.
- Where does it say that it relies on "Professional Social Work"? Perhaps that is the legal definition in your area, but Misplaced Pages uses wp:common name. Please sign your talk with four tildes "~~~~". Jim1138 (talk) 09:36, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further notice the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Social work. Jim1138 (talk) 09:30, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
- Your reference did not cover that "a social worker needs a degree". Nothing about a degree is mentioned on this page: http://workforce.socialworkers.org/whatsnew.asp Jim1138 (talk) 09:33, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

at the start of your reply, sign with four tildes (~~~~), and save both at the same time. - As having a multi-page conversation is problematic, I removed your talk from my page. If you wish to have a conversation, please add it here. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 09:41, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
