Sure thing! I just responded on your RfA page. Also, I wouldn't lose hope yet as RfA's remain open for a week and yours has only been active for about 24 hours; plus, you seem to have a lot of support from the community so far. My opposition is firm, but if the community continues their support, then I'm sure they will have made the right decision. Cheers and good luck! ]] 10:31, 24 August 2006 (UTC) | Sure thing! :I ought to apologize for the excessive amount of suffering you've endured in your RfA with me and hoopydink snooping around and stirring up arguments. Well, mostly hoopydink - you have struck the Irish nerve... :) Anyway, I wanted you to know, I think you're a great user, and the concerns, though serious enough to preclude supporting you at this time, are certainly rectifiable and, from my knowledge of you, I expect them to be rectified. Do NPP right for a couple of months and you will have my enthusiastic support. I am offering you the same thing I did with Yanksox for a month before his adminship: discussing interesting cases from ] and ] in gmail chat in real time, if/when we're both online (which could be a problem, since you're in Australia). - ] ]/] 12:37, 24 August 2006 (UTC) |

Responded
I responded to your query that you placed on my talk page. My response can be found here. Feel free to post any further comments on my talk page, and I'll respond to you as soon as possible. Cya round! Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 04:10, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Width
I managed to get your userpage to work when viewed in Firefox. I'm unsure how the others work, though. Daniel.Bryant 11:15, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- I reverted my edits, cos I'm not 100% sure how they'll work. See here. By the way, lets continue this conversation here - I've watched the page. Daniel.Bryant 11:18, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- This works on FireFox under OS X, and Camino - that's a damn good start. If you could test this under IE (I only have version 5.5 for the Mac, which is... less than ideal), that'd be a bonus. Safari and other WebKit browsers still render this page poorly (aside from displaying too-large bars when sections are hidden on the page, the left table doesn't maintain a proper width), but that's fine: I'll make an alternate page for them. Thanks very, very much for your help! RandyWang (/fix me up) 11:39, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- IE 6.0 doesn't like it :( - maybe just add it to the list of browsers which should view the alternative templates. Daniel.Bryant 07:48, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I've updated it again, and I think I've fixed the problem. Aside from reducing the "busy-ness" of the page, I've inlined the text that was presented with the two barnstars - this should mean that the page will appear nicely up to resolutions of around 1280x1024 (the highest I have here is a dual 1024x768 setup, and it looks fine when I stretch it beyond the limits of my main screen). I've also fixed the border appearance under IE, Safari and OmniWeb (I think), leaving just the weird rendering errors under WebKit-based browsers to fix... and honestly, I'm too busy right now. What thinks you of its current state? RandyWang (/patch) 12:42, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Kpjas' RFA
Hi Randy!
On Kpjas' RFA, you have voted neutral based on his apparent lack of experience, ("I'm torn on this one, with your excellent long-term service on one hand but apparently limited contributions in important areas on the other. Sorry"). In fact, Kpjas is already an admin on the Polish Misplaced Pages, and has 37,000 edits there, including 2,600 to WP space over there. You have voted neutral based on inexperience, but these facts clearly indicate plenty of experience in the required areas. Randy, you want an experienced editor for admin. Kpjas is clearly experienced. Without badgering you, I urge you to reconsider your vote in this particular RfA. Happy editing! :)--Firsfron of Ronchester 01:53, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Randy,
- Thanks for your note on Kpjas' RfA page. Whatever you decide, I appreciate that you will take a moment to review the facts in this RFA. Best wishes and good luck with your school debate! :) Firsfron of Ronchester 10:04, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note, I'd never have noticed that he was an admin elsewhere if you hadn't pointed it out. I'll vote in a tick (I just got home), when I've made some tea. Unfortunately, it wasn't my debate, but one of a team of Year 7s that I happen to coach. Fortunately, they won (obviously because of my hard work ;) ). Woo. - Hi Randy,
- I saw your change of vote on the RfA. Thanks for taking the time to reconsider your vote. Happy tea. :) Best, Firsfron of Ronchester 10:37, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for being awesome yourself. Not everyone will reconsider an RfA vote, as if RfA opinions are something set in stone, and can never be changed. Thanks for your flexibility. --Firsfron of Ronchester 10:58, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

speedy criteria
Are you aware that admins can delete articles directly using the CSD criteria, without ever placing a tag/waiting for it to show up in CAT:CSD? Policy and precedent support this behavior, which may be one reason people are having reservations over giving you your own 'delete' button. By the way, if you don't pass this time, I'm sure you'll do fine in a few months. Good luck. -- nae'blis 16:43, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

It may have been a whole-hearted support, but Crzrussian is generally pretty enthusiastic in his supports, so I feel that some fair concerns may have been raised. Oh well, most people seem to think that you would do well with a few more months under your belt, so I wouldn't worry excessively. Chin up, matie :) Uni is horrendous, in fact I should probably go off now to study for a Maths test tomorrow Aren't you looking forward to it next year? :) Well, I'm glad you're doing well. By the way, is that your old pal Xino way up there? (User:DA MAN) Bah, if you need some muscle power, you know where to find me ;) Later! — riana_dzasta • t • c • e • ER • 09:10, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey; regarding , just letting you know for accuracy that you dropped the reference from your user page a couple of days ago in your rewrite. Just a slip. ~ PseudoSudo 22:56, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, damn. Thanks for this, I've noted it at the RfA. :) RandyWang (/patch) 00:07, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
