You said they weren't notable, but I know her mom works as her manager and Ariana Grande has mentioned quite a fews time about her and her father so people would probably like to know that. To Pimp A Butterfly revision

Why did you undo the addition of mastering engineer under the production heading? It is a valid addition. Grundman's has mastered some of the world's greatest music, including Michael Jackson's Thriller. It's worth noting. Mastering engineers are an integral part of the production of an album. add Bozzi to the personnel heading if you think it's more appropriate. He's listed on the good kid mad city page--- Lamar and his team including sounwave, Derek Ali, Thudercat, etc spent many hours making additions to to pimp a butterfly at grundman's studio with Bozzi Chemmech99 (talk) 02:30, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

Sales, streaming

But you know that if RIAA change the certification's mechanism, is bc something happened. The streams are increasing, and the article says "sales" not "pure sales", RIAA count 100 streams in the US as a sale, not excuse your hatred by Fifth Harmony on sales, lol. You are just assuming that. Those are streaming points, sales here are pure sales. "3x certication omg it sold 3 million!!!!" please, dont be that guy. Until you find a source stating "Worth It" has sold 3 million in the US (the chart you have edited is about the country, not WW like that tweet you showed) it will be removed. @Cornerstonepicker: @Lucas11925: this is an ongoing problem with this article which has troubled me for months: in short, a lack of actual sales figures for virtually all records means it is impossible to make any accurate lists of best-selling girl group records, which really makes this article redundant.

If you read through the RfC discussion on the talk page you can see my misgivings - we felt the only way to salvage the article was to use certification levels, so the argument of Lucas11925 and Musicstan is valid: if we remove "Worth It" we have to remove virtually the whole article, because the sections for Australia, France, Germany, Canada, etc. are all implied sales based on certification levels. Japan and South Korea have sales figures, but these are mostly unverified... the Korean figures are mostly sourced from a French(!) blog. The UK figures are just about the only officially sourced ones, but even these are incomplete - for example, I can work out from OCC figures that both "Yes Sir I Can Boogie" and "Frankie" have sold in excess of 640,000 copies, so should be included on the UK singles list. But as I don't know exactly how many, or have a source, they have been excluded from the table.

There has been an attempt before to delete this article, in 2011: if it got put up for AfD again I wouldn't oppose it. Richard3120 (talk) 09:16, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Just read that, Richard3120, so he has a point. But since 2013 streaming points have been included in certifications. I guess pre-2013 all were pure-sales. The explanation behind "Don't Cha" can be found in the article used as the source for the 3M sales: it says it sold 3M on downloads in addition to a single platinum certification for old-fashioned physical sales. Which means the total sales should be 4M, not 3M. But as the person quoting those figures is Cee Lo Green, the song's co-writer, that's not really a verifiable source. And so we're back to the problem of sourcing verifiable sales figures: we can't do this for the Pussycat Dolls and we can't do this for Fifth Harmony, and we can't do it for most singles. So this is why we went with implied sales from certifications. But this is also problematic as (1) certifications are for shipments, not actual sales, (2) apart from the US and UK few countries had certifications before the 1980s, so the tables are heavily skewed towards the last twenty years, (3) it wasn't important for record companies in the past to apply for certifications, so many records from the 1950s, 60s and 70s have no certifications despite theoretically qualifying for them (see the lack of certified Supremes records in the US, or the single platinum certification for Bridge over Troubled Water in the UK, despite being one of the top 20 all-time best-selling albums in that country). If you do, I have some tips for you: 1) If you want to build a successful CR section take a look at the previous critical receptions on Good Girl Gone Bad, Rated R or Loud (those sections are looking pretty good). 2) The first paragraph should contain the positive reviews, then the others mixed and the end negative. 3) I am gonna add some reviews in the infobox you can use it. You deleted the reviews that I put under TLOP because you said that they weren't "music publications", but they're just as much music publications as the NYT is!!

Complex and Noisey are completely legitimate as just music publications, and the person who wrote the Noisey review also writes for Pitchfork

All the other reviews are from legitimate websites/magazines that have been known to write reviews all the time, idk why they shouldn't be added

Wrong number on awards received by Eminem

Hi and thanks for your edit but you told me to tell you what article have a wrong number to fix it. Well if you go to List of awards and nominations received by Michael Jackson, you will find that he received 785+ awards. But when I checked the HTML code (1) (2) (3) (4) there was only 363 awards (I am 99% sure about that). Even List of awards and nominations received by Justin Bieber you will find that he received 136 awards. But when I checked the HTML code (1) (2) (3) (4) there was only 69 awards (I am 99% sure about that). And I am sure that there is more pages that have the same thing, what I am trying tell you is not that all artists have a wrong number on their pages but is the amount of received awards by Eminem before you edit it (346) is probably right. Maybe 346 is the actual amount of awards received by Eminem but the author did not mention all the awards, Maybe 785+ is the actual amount of awards received by Michael Jackson but the author did not mention all the awards, Maybe 136 is the actual amount of awards received by Justin Bieber but the author did not mention all the awards. So I think it is a good idea to change the number back to 346 on Eminem's page. @Eliasyoussef47: You can't just show a list of 120 awards and then put the artist has won "346" awards without proving it. Not even with a (reliable) source. Remember, WP only lists notable awards per WP:INDISCRIMINATE. I fixed MJ numbers; and Bieber used "rowspan=4 {{won}}" when he wins four awards in a row, so counting it with f3 won't help, it has to be counted manually. Edit warring

I don't understand what your problem or objection is to conscious hip hop, but Billboard is clearly cited in the article's Music and lyrics section as describing To Pimp a Butterfly as a "conscious rap record". Don't turn this into an edit war. It's clearly cited to a reliable source, there's no policy or guideline at WP:ALBUMS to "keep it general", and your reference to this Time article discusses Lamar, not the album explicitly, and it's editorializing, flattering language that doesn't invalidate Billboard's point of view, which is also echoed in the link cited in To Pimp a Butterfly's Further reading section at the bottom.
