Mortal Kombat: Devastation is the third installment in the movie franchise based on the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. This movie is still being filmed.

The film was stated to begin production in Summer 2005, however, because of Hurricane Katrina, Casamassa said that it had "set us back a few months". Rumors that said that the movie "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" would be replaced by this one were proven false, since the official plot has already been announced: this movie will be based on the games "Mortal Kombat: Deception" and "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon".

This movie was going to be filmed in Thailand, just like Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, but Universal Studios decided to build a huge studio/theme park, in which people would be able to see the filming in progress. But, since hurricane Katrina messed up those plans, they were able to shoot only a few scenes there. The rest of the filming is taking place in Thailand and other locations.

This film's status has been heavily alter by fans. Many rumors have circulated the internet that was not released by any officials of this film. The latest news about this film from officials was that the filming was delayed by hurricane Katrina, which was stated by Chris Casamassa. All other info afterwards have not been released by officials. It is possible that the film has started undergoing a new script.
