Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location (also known as Five Nights at Freddy's 5 or Five Nights at Freddy's 5: Sister Location or FNaF: Sister Location or FNaF: SL) is a video game and the upcoming fifth installment of the Five Nights at Freddy's series by Scott Cawthon. It is the first installment of the series to be given a subtitle. Prior to the announcement of the game, Scott Cawthon had claimed that the previous entry in the franchise, Five Nights at Freddy's 4, was the last game in the series, but was later confirmed to be the final installment for the main story line as Sister Location is to be it's own while still remaining canon to the series entirely. Sadly, it was cancelled August 16th, 2016.

Development

On April 23, 2016, Cawthon released a teaser image of the game on his website, entitled Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location, featuring the face of a clown-like animatronic from behind the text. Shortly after, the clown animatronic was confirmed to be named Circus Baby. On May 21, 2016, the first trailer of the game was released by Cawthon. In the trailer, it was revealed that the game will be released in the fall and the trailer also reveals new animatronics and a new location, hence the name. On June 17th, 2016, a new teaser image featuring a mangled up character, revealed to be named Ennard, and the text There's a little of me in every body. On July 9th, 2016, there was a new teaser image released to scottgames.com featuring seven identical little animatronics, which are, theoretically, called Bidybabs, with the text "Don't hold it against us.", a quote used from the trailer. On July 21, 2016, there was another teaser stating the words "Get back on your stage, now." In addition, it was found that if you brighten the image, you can see either four Balloras in the background in different positions. Some believe that the ballerina poses they are in spell out the word BABY. Some people claim to see the Puppet (or Ennard) in Funtime Foxy's reflection in the trailer. Many theorized that this is not true, however. On August 1st, 2016, the release date for "Sister Location" was rumored to be released on October 28, 2016, but then later the steam page said October 2016. Furthermore, Cawthon said on a post on 7 Aug that the above data was a rumor where he says "I haven't confirmed any release dates beyond October. So dates like the 28th and the 30th are not confirmed. A new steam page for Sister Location was released, with the quote "Welcome to Circus Baby's Pizza World, where family fun and interactivity go beyond anything you've seen at those *other* pizza places! With cutting-edge animatronic entertainers that will knock your kids' socks off, as well as customized pizza catering, no party is complete without Circus Baby and the gang! Now hiring: Late night technician. Must enjoy cramped spaces and be comfortable around active machinery. Not responsible for death or dismemberment."
